Terry...It is suppose to be near 50 tomorrow, I hope that helps you. Did you cancel your cruise, it doesn't mention cruise in your timer???

Joanna

Joanna: You must've missed this when I posted it last week, it explains why the cruise is missing from my countdown timer:

"Thanks for the feedback, everyone! As you can see from my 2 new countdown timers below, we decided to cancel the Royal Caribbean cruise, add on more nights to our Disney World trip, change resorts from the Wilderness Lodge to the Polynesian, and bring the kids with us! John and I are both very happy with this decision. As a mom, I can see that our "family vacations" are numbered Craig will be 17 this month and while I think he'll always enjoy a vacation, afterall we're all cruising NEXT summer on the Magic, I feel this will be our last family trip to Disney World while my sons are still "kids", if that makes sense!

It's a done deal; I've changed flights and dates for John and I, and booked flights for the boys; I've canceled the Wilderness Lodge and booked us at the Polynesian; tomorrow I will send in the form to cancel the cruise (they need it in writing).

I have to say, as much as I LOVE cruising, I am very excited about the idea of this family Disney World trip, and so is John, and the kids are too! Since they ARE "older", John and I will have our anniversary dinner at the castle, without the kids, just like we had planned. They are looking forward to the chance to be on their own a little while at Disney World, too. Not sure how far I'll let them go, maybe we'll all go to the same park but let the boys go in one direction while John and I go in another, unless we all feel like doing the same things, then of course we'll stay together.

Anyway, thanks everyone, for listening to me go on and on about this recently. It really had been on our minds a lot, but we feel great now that we've made the right decision for us." :sunny:

50 will feel almost like spring :flower: :sunny: And hopefully start to melt the 2' of snow still on the ground. lol This evening John and I went out and bought a new washer/dryer set and it's being delivered on Wednesday. I told him he's going to have to use the snowblower to create a path to the basement doors at the back of the house. The basement doors lead directly into my laundry room and I don't want the delivery men to have to bring the washer and dryer all the way through the house when it'd be so much easier for them to just bring it right down one set of stairs to their final destination. We got the Kenmore Elite HE4 set. I picked the color "Champagne" and can't wait until they're delivered. I haven't had a brand new washer and dryer in about 15 years :teeth: (Imagine getting excited over a new washer and dryer) :earboy2:

Here's a picture of what they look like, and we also ordered the pedestals/drawers that you see in this pic, underneath them:

Thanks for asking about Stan. He says he feels fine except for a metalic taste in his mouth. So far, so good.

76 weeks...

Everyone have a good Monday!

Darlene

Sadly but I do understand the excitment over a new washer and dryer,
We recently got rid of ones that were over 30 years old. They used to belong to my wifes Mom. Were living in the house now, Also had a fridge from1971. :rotfl2: The stove is from the sixty's Thats next to go. :rotfl:

Sue, Hope it was a happy Mothers day for you.

Andy, Glad you had a chance to rest those knee's
How many days untill FL now?

Hugs to everyone. Think happy thoughts, Monday's coming .
Then only four more days to the start of the weekend. :cool1:

Terry...WTG on your going to WDW as a family, I can see why you feel better.

No I haven't read all I missed, Do you feel like a weight was lifted off? Nice washer and dryer.

Darlene...What's with Stan? Ah maybe I should go back and read the last 5 pages or so. Gee, you can't miss a day around here?

We leave for Florida in 16 days(11 work days).............and I can't wait!!! Sadly, it's only a six day trip, but at this point, I'll happily take it!!!

Congrats on the new washer and dryer Terry they look very nice!!!

Happy to hear the good report about Stan, we will continue to keep everyone in our thoughts and prayers!!!

Hey Joanna
I sure missed you here. Stan started chemotherapy last Wed. It will take 8 months to complete the 24 treatments. It seems so long ago that we were all on the cruise and I was worrying about him because he was tired and pale. Next year when we cruise together he will be all better!
Talk soon,
Darlene

What a beautiful day we are having here today :sunny: and mid 60's!!!

I just arrived home for a quick break and opened the living room windows to get some "FRESH" air in the house. The house has been closed up all winter, it's nice to be able to open a few windows. Got to do it today because a cold front is arriving overnight and we might end up with a bit of snow by this time tomorrow. At this point I don't care, Spring is almost here and I have found a new bounce in my step!!!

   :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Andy,

Days like this I envy you being outdoors. But those cold winter days I dont.

Well in the end it all balances out.

Temp is a littler cooler here in Ct, but still 54 isnt bad after what we have been having. Chance of rain tonight and tommorow am, then a chance of snow in the afternoon. Little snow accumulation.

But then Brisk and Much colder. Back to 30's again. Oh well not that much longer to spring. :cool1: :flower:

I just booked this cruise and can not believe how many of you are already on it!

It will be me, the DW, and the DD (17). we're in a cat 7 cabin, I believe 7120.

This will be our 4th (maybe 5th by that time) cruise with DCL.

I just joined a couple of weeks ago. This is a friendly group.

Hi Guys

Just read this over on the Disney cruise line forum and thought you might be interested:

Sue

A lot is happening aboard the Magic and Wonder, and we have the latest news.

DRESS POLICY CHANGE

Jeans are now acceptable attire under the revised "Cruise Casual" dress policy. It is still requested that guests do not wear shorts, swimwear or tank tops to the dining rooms.

The attire is determined by the day, not the restaurant with the exception of Palo. The seven night cruise has a formal night, semi-formal night, pirate/tropical night and four "Cruise Casual" nights.

On the 3 and 4 day cruises there is one night where "dress-up" attire is requested. Men are asked to wear a jacket while ladies are asked to wear either a dress or nice pantsuit.

WEST COAST CRUISES

Disney Cruise Line is strongly recommending that all guests, including U.S. citizens, who are cruising aboard the Magic while it's based in California have passports. This includes guests who are on the two repositioning cruises.

For information in obtaining a passport, here's a link to the official government website . Please allow 6 weeks for processing. Expedited service is available for an additional fee.

TRANSFER POLICY/PRICE CHANGES:

As of 1/3/05 Disney Cruise Line has raised the prices of their transfers. The only exception is for land/sea package holders. The price has changed from $69.00 to $59.00 to reflect the new Magical Express program. THIS REDUCED PRICE ONLY APPLIES TO GUESTS TRAVELING FROM 5/5/05 THROUGH THE END OF THIS PROMOTION.

NEW SHOW ON THE MAGIC

An exclusive show is debuting on the Disney Magic. Scheduled for the first night, it follows the tale of a young cruise guest who dreams of becoming the ship's captain. Mickey, Minne and a host of Disney characters guide him on his journey of discovery.

Intertwined in this musical presentation are helpful hints and an overview of the events and activities that guests can enjoy during their voyage. The ship's officers will be introduced as part of this program.

PALO DRESS CODE

During dinner, gentlemen will be required to wear a dress shirt. Gentlemen wearing polo shirts, t-shirts, Tommy Bahama style shirts, etc will not be allowed admittance. Jackets and/or ties are still recommended but not required. Notices will be in the Personal Navigator, on the Palo reservation card and a sign outside the elevators on deck 10 will contain this dress advisory. The Resort Casual dress code for both the brunch and high tea remains unchanged.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES

Andy’s Birthday Party (5-7 year olds) - It’s Andy’s birthday and you’re invited to join in the festivities. The kids will draw and color a picture of a favorite friend from “Toy Story”. There’s face painting and they can “Pin the Hat on Woody.”

Conversation with an Officer (8-12 year olds) - A fascinating look at careers at sea for the youngsters. They ships officers will explain his/her duties. It’s the perfect opportunity for the budding sailors aboard the ship to learn about the staff. Hands on activities are included as they learn marine knot tying.

Crabby Crafts & Island Arts (3-12 year olds) - Tailored to the different age groups, the kids will make crafts with a sea life theme. An ocean matching game is part of the fun.

Welcome Aboard Matey to you and your family!!! We had cabins 7116 and 7118 on our first cruise in August 2003, we enjoyed the location of those cabins.

Mike - For a bunch of us in this crazy group... We had so much fun dodging Hurricane Frances with "The Mouse" that when this cruise opened up, we couldn't resist getting together and trying to duplicate the feat. (Don't worry, in spite of the hurricane, things were great. An extra three days to party with the Mouse! WOO HOO!) :cheer2:

And our philosophy has ALWAYS been, "The more, the merrier!" :grouphug:

Dori :cool1:
