Merry Christmas everyone!!

We had a quiet Christmas with just family, except the most important part, my oldest son was not able to make it home for Christmas again this year so we missed him a lot. We talked to him twice yesterday and that kind of made up for the void.

Hope everyone is healthy and has a fabulous Happy New Year.

I am off to the mall to pick up a pair of gloves since we are scheduled for snow tonight. My father-inlaw just called and said he didn't have any gloves so I am off to buy him a few pairs.

*ugh* I just typed out a fairly long post but when I hit "Submit" it told me I wasn't logged in (which I was!) and then when I logged in, it didn't process my post. :(

Anyway....GREETINGS FROM VIRGINIA! We're having a great visit with Tina and Bill, and tomorrow we're heading back to NJ to visit more with my family. I hope everyone is doing well!!

Karen, John hasn't been well on this trip and isn't up to driving to Williamsburg :( We will be back in the summer though, and will definitely meet up with you then!

Darlene and Ginny: I see that you have new colorful tags from the "Tag Fairy" :)

See you all when I get back home!!! :grouphug:

Oh My god - I can honestly say the Tag Fairy made me cry.... I didnt even notice it until Terri posted. Thanks TF.... I cant think of a better Tag than one in my brothers memory!!!!!

I hope all my buddies here had a nice christmas.... it was pretty good here.. of course there is always that sadness knowing someone is missing. My mom had calendars made at Kinko's for me and all my sisters and each month has a different picture of Tommy... and then my step father had a pillow made for my mom with a picture of Tommy kissing her after he walked her down the aisle on her wedding day.

Andy- we are also Disney on Ice junkies... we go every year at Xmas - there always seems to be a show at the First Union Center. We are taking the kids to the 3PM show on New Years Eve... we figured it would be a nice way to ring in the new year with the kids and then take them out to dinner.

Talk to you all Soon

Ginny

Hey everyone. I would like to add us to the list of cruisers. We just booked while on board the Wonder. It will be me (Jennifer), DH (Joe), DS 14 (Brett), and DS 11 (Austin). We are in cabins 7128 & 7129. We have early dining. This will be our 5th Disney cruise. We are all very excited.

Jennifer

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is well and had a Merry Christmas. Didn't have a chance to catch up on all the posts of the last week. A few days ago, I got sunburnt sitting around the pool and her I am back home where it's cold and lightly snowing. I want to go back lol

The VOS is not Disney. I truly like DCL much better and spent the first couple of days comparing the Voyager to Disney instead of enjoying what I had. We had two cabins overlooking the Promenade Deck. That was cool but the cabins are sooooo small. It was big enough for 2 people. The ship is beautiful. We did go miniature golfing but the rock climbing (which I'm too old and chicken to do) was closed alot due to the weather. Couldn't dock at Labadee; rained in Jamaica (after a few drinks, I didn't care), and had a couple of good days. The shows were good, but Disney is better. The ice skating show was great. The cruise director, Becky, is fantantic. My DS had a great time with the golf, roller blading, basketball, and the casino. You have to be 18 to gamble. I thought the food was just okay. One complaint I had was the couple we went with were assigned a different table in a different dining room even though we were supposed to sit together. It was a hassle trying to get us together so we gave up.

My major concern was that on the first day, there was a crew member selling liquor that starting to talk to my DD as we walked by. I heard her tell him she's a senior in HS and only 17. He told her he was getting off soon and wanted to meet her so they could get friendly and he would buy her whatever she wanted to drink. When she told him again that she doesn't drink and is only 17, he said it didn't matter because he would get her whatever she wanted. She walked away freaked out by him and was afraid to go out by herself for the first couple of days. The last night I did report him to guest relations. Also, on "her" bill was a charge for $37.95 for wine. It took me over 3 visits to guest relations and 14 hours later for them to credit me. Overall, it was fun but not Disney. Now I just have to decide which ship I'm doing at the end of June or beginning of July.

Well, I bored you all enough. Have a great day. :grouphug:

Yes, we are one and the same Jennifer & Joe. I remember you guys.....our oldest DS18 hung out with Matt a bit on the ship.
We weren't going to do a Disney cruise in '06. We were going to go to Hawaii instead, but when we were on the Wonder last week....DH couldn't resist. Truthfully, I'd rather do Disney than Hawaii. Call me crazy.

Hi Andy! How is your family? I hope you had a blessed holiday. It will be great to see you guys again.

Jennifer

PS....Have a great time on your cruise next week.

I GOT TAGGED!
I never really thought I cared about being tagged by the Tag Fairy, but I sure got a warm feeling when Terry pointed out the tag. Thanks Terry. And Ginny, how touching is your tag? I guess the Tag Fairy is pretty cool.

Darlene

SUE - the drumsticks did come with a pad. Does that count? Somehow I think that is still on the cheating side.

ANDY - Have a wonderful trip. Is there anyone NOT going to Disney on Ice - Finding Nemo? Sandy and I have tickets for the 11 AM show on Friday.

GINNY - Too bad we don't have tickets for the 3 PM show. We could have met up. Did you get a ticket to park at the show? When Sandy and I went to see the last show we ended up parking under some bridge and it was a little scary. I love your TAG.

JENNIFER - Welcome aboard! So glad you found us. I look forward to getting to know you and Joe. Congratulations on your marriage!

LYN - So glad you could speak with your son for Christmas. I missed 2 of my guys, 1 in Tampa, the other in Iraq. My oldest was home that was so nice. Hope you had a happy holiday!

TERRY - Tell John I hope he feels 100% soon. Not fun to be ill while traveling.

WELCOME HOME BEV!

Darlene

We like going to the Janaury 1st show because the traffic is very light heading to the show. We also bought a ticket for parking at the Wachovia Center, don't feel like walking 5 miles from an outside parking lot!!! LOL!!!

All that are going, enjoy the show!!!!!

Welcome Dizcrazzy - we will be sailing with you on the Repo cruise as well as the 8/19/06 cruise. There are several of us on this thread who are doing both cruises.

Ginny

Just checking in...how is everyone? Looking forward to the New Year!
We had a little snow today and you would have thought we had a blizzard the way Sandy carried on. She was so excited. Her and her little friends had a great time playing in the snow. Pulling each other in her wagon, because there really wasn't enough for a sled. Roads were a little slippery this morning but not anything unmanagable. How did everyone else make out weatherwise today?
Darlene

Not weather related, but because of what we saw happen at Philadelphia Airport this past weekend with USAir, Hazel and I decided to cancel our flights with USAir for next Monday January 3rd, and I booked us flights on Spirit Airlines for this coming Friday flying out of Atlantic City. This will give us an "EXTRA" four days in Florida before our January 4th cruise!!! I got us a great deal with Spirit. We got "round trip tix" at $88.00 per person!!!

We will now be staying at my mom's place in Florida from Friday afternoon until Tuesday morning, then we will head to the port to catch the Magic!!!

I gave my mom the tix for the Disney On Ice show this weekend, now she can take Angelina and two other people.

Florida, here we come!!! I guess we had better start getting some packing done!!!

Thanks Ginny. I have noticed that there are many people doing both. That's great. Lots of friends! :flower1:

Wow Andy that is a great fare. We are taking the kids to FLorida from 3/4 - 3/8 to visit my mom at her vacation house. I should look into Spirit to see if I can get that fare too. I still have a $300 credit from them from my last cruise in august when the fares dropped so much.

Darlene.. as far as the weather.. we only got about 2 inches also but to tell you the truth I HATE SNOW.. I wouldnt care if I never saw another snowflake. Hence, the main reason we are trying to relocate to Florida.

Ginny

Hey Everyone,

What do you know, we made it under the 600 day mark!!!!!
