Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is well and had a Merry Christmas. Didn't have a chance to catch up on all the posts of the last week. A few days ago, I got sunburnt sitting around the pool and her I am back home where it's cold and lightly snowing. I want to go back lol
The VOS is not Disney. I truly like
DCL much better and spent the first couple of days comparing the Voyager to Disney instead of enjoying what I had. We had two cabins overlooking the Promenade Deck. That was cool but the cabins are sooooo small. It was big enough for 2 people. The ship is beautiful. We did go miniature golfing but the rock climbing (which I'm too old and chicken to do) was closed alot due to the weather. Couldn't dock at Labadee; rained in Jamaica (after a few drinks, I didn't care), and had a couple of good days. The shows were good, but Disney is better. The ice skating show was great. The cruise director, Becky, is fantantic. My DS had a great time with the golf, roller blading, basketball, and the casino. You have to be 18 to gamble. I thought the food was just okay. One complaint I had was the couple we went with were assigned a different table in a different dining room even though we were supposed to sit together. It was a hassle trying to get us together so we gave up.
My major concern was that on the first day, there was a crew member selling liquor that starting to talk to my DD as we walked by. I heard her tell him she's a senior in HS and only 17. He told her he was getting off soon and wanted to meet her so they could get friendly and he would buy her whatever she wanted to drink. When she told him again that she doesn't drink and is only 17, he said it didn't matter because he would get her whatever she wanted. She walked away freaked out by him and was afraid to go out by herself for the first couple of days. The last night I did report him to guest relations. Also, on "her" bill was a charge for $37.95 for wine. It took me over 3 visits to guest relations and 14 hours later for them to credit me. Overall, it was fun but not Disney. Now I just have to decide which ship I'm doing at the end of June or beginning of July.
Well, I bored you all enough. Have a great day.
Bev
