Terry,

I'm referring to the original show. Back in the days before cable, they used to show reruns of the original show (in black and white) along with other cartoons in the after-school time slot. I used to watch it all the time.

As far as my age goes... I know that I don't look (or act) my age, but I am 40. I'm just hoping that I continue to hold up as well as my Mom has. She still doesn't look like she's 61 (her birthday was a couple of weeks ago). For years people thought that we were sisters rather than mother and daughter. (I'm just glad that I don't get carded for buying Lottery tickets anymore. I did until I was in my late 20s. AND I still get carded for alcohol occassionally. I can't decide whether I really look that young or whether the clerk is just 'sucking up'.)

I thought you would get a kick out of that!!! ;)

I'm :rotfl:  :rotfl:

Better watch out, Andy! If you get too cruel, I'll have to return the favor.

Let's see...
I could kidnap you and put you to work in my t-shirt sweatshop! LOL

 Now that is just plain mean, LOL!!!

Andy - Sorry your Mom thinks it's too hot. I have to agree with her though, the heat and humidity kills me and I'm only 44 not 70 LOL. I sure hope you'll still consider joining us though!

Joanna - Good to hear from you pal! I know what you mean about the smoking thing. I quit smoking 10 years ago when my Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. I was a 2 pack-a-day smoker and I thought to myself, if you don't quit now you never will. Well sure I have gained but that was the best decision of my life. I'm so glad to have that monkey off my back and I feel that my Dad's death was not in vain. His death from smoking saved my life and gave me years I might never have had otherwise. So don't be discouraged about the weight. Dieting is MUCH easier than quitting smoking (it's keeping the weight off that really the horror)

Terry - Do you know I never, ever get email notifications. I used to for a while, but I haven't received them now in months LOL!

Dori - Sorry, I can be absolutely no help with the Mickey Mouse Club. I'm of the right age I think, but I must have been raised by wolves LOL

Darlene - How is Stan these days?

later.....

Andy,

I wanted to thank you. I have a chronic heath condition that is aggravated by stress. I've been having problems with it flaring up over the last six weeks. The good-natured harrassment that we gave each other today was just what the doctor ordered. It made my day! Thanks!

Dori

I just typed a nice long post to all of you...and it is now lost in space somewhere! How frustrating is that!

Darlene

ANYWAY...try again!:chat: In a nutshell:

Dori - I hope you smile your way through this flare.:D I'd be very careful...t-shirt sweatshops...illegal...Andy is a G-man...works for the government... could be a problem. Oh well, I guess you are safe as long as you don't mess with your watermeter.

Terry - I hope your new lamp takes you away to the tropics everytime you sit down at your desk. Maybe that will help with all this early snow!
I'm sure the chatter will pick up on this thread once the holidays are over. I'll be here.

Carmen- Stan is OK. Getting a little down because the drain is in indefinately and he wants it out. Plus he can't move on to the treatment until this abscess is resolved. Frustrating.

Glad to be of service!!! I needed it as well, because we had a teenage girl meltdown here at the house this evening. All is well now, but it was a shaky few hours. Teenagers, gotta love them!!!

Hi Everyone!!!!!:wave2:

91 WEEKS!!!! I wish it were tomorrow!!!! I will definitely toast tonite at 5PM.

I hope everyone is doing well. Doreen has been sick again. She has been in bed for the past two days.

Today seems like Friday the 13th for me. First of all my left knee went out on me as I was going into a meeting with my boss. We ended up all sitting on the floor and having our meeting and me having ice on my knee!!! They were all laughing as I was hurting!!! What a team I work with!!! (This is a great company for me to work for, very family, casual orientated)!!! After I got up I had to make a phone call to a client regarding monies they owed us and he blasted me by telling me to send a request in writing or fax!!! He has no time to answer the telephone!! Mind you this is a big MAJOR insurance company!!! I was taken aback by his response and asked for his supervisors' name which he gave me and hung up on me!!! I called his supervisor and she told me he was totally out of line that that is not how their company was run. Needless to say I received a fax apology and flowers were delivered to me along with another apology!!! I do need a smoothie right now!!!

Terry- I saw the lamp and I ordered one myself!!!

Lyn- How is everyone doing in your family.

CV- How are you???

Doreen - How are you feeling???? Any better? Call me sometime!!!(Are we still related????)lol

Well I know I missed some people but I hope everyone has a magical weekend!!!! I am so looking forward to turkey day and most of all the day after to SHOP!!!!!(My knee better get better by then or I will need one of those scooters!!!!(Doreen, keep your comments to yourself!!!LOL

TTFN!!!!!:crazy: :wave2: ::MinnieMo

Karen:

Hi, sorry to hear about your knee again. Wow that must hurt.

I can't believe that Doreen is sick again. Wow she is having a bad year.

Everyone here is ok at the minute. Matt is back to his ususal self. He is turning 18 next Friday and thinks the world is going to change because he's 18. I can't believe he's 18 already, where have the years gone?

Today was a big money spending day. It's time to Christmas shop. Matt really needs a new computer and Dell is having a sale so I bought him one.

Bob's car is on its last leg so we'll be replacing that soon probably this week. He never complains but I feel bad driving a new car when he's driving around with practically no heat. He won't buy a brand new car but a newer used car is in order.

So what is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I am cooking for the first time. Luckily we have a 4 day weekend so everyone will have time to recover.

Lyn:crazy:

Karen: I LOVE the lamp! But in the catalog and even online it says that it takes a 40w bulb, so I went out and bought a package of regular 40w bulbs. When the lamp arrived I saw right away that it would not take regular bulbs because the socket was much smaller. I have a chandelier that takes the small bulbs with "chandelier base" bulbs, and those fit in perfectly. But I didn't like the look of the long slender bulb in the lamp, so when I was food shopping yesterday I saw small round bulbs (they are about the size of a golf ball, maybe a little bigger) with a chandelier base, and bought that and its perfect. Oh, and the paperwork with the lamp says "25w only". So I have NO idea where Disney got the idea of a 40w bulb from.

Terry,

Thanks for the info on the lamp. I am going to put it on my desk at work along with my flamingos so it will remind me of CC which is where I want to be right now!!!!

Lyn,

I know what you mean about time flying. I remember the exact time and place I was when Jaclyn and Daniel were born. Jaclyn is going to be 16 next year and that means driver's liscense!! YIKES!!! She told me when I had bought my car that I am driving now that that is the car she want to learn how to drive!!!

I am spending Thanksgiving with my adopted family down here and am so looking forward to it!!! And shopping on Friday, bad knee or not!!!

Talk to you later!!!!:wave2:

Hi everyone:wave:

Check this out. It's really neat.

Can you figure out how?

I wish it was 91 days not 91 weeks till the cruise.

Today I went to the ENT Dr. and he said I have an ear infection. I guess that explains why I've been constantly eating for the last few days. Aren't you supposed to feed an ear infection and starve a fever? lol :D

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi everyone:

I just got home from Target and I can't believe that they have a mickey mouse shaped smoothie maker. Has anyone seen it?

Lyn

Hi everyone

Thought You'd Appreciate This!!

Today is International Very Good Looking Damn Smart Woman's Day, so please send this message to someone you think fits this description....Please do not send it back to me as I have already received it from a Very Good Looking Damn Smart Woman!

And remember this motto to live by:

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, margarita in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!"

Have an amazing day!!

Bev
