OK, is anyone else confused by the new layout of the thread? Must be me!
Hope everyone had a Thanksgiving full of blessings and new memories. I know we did. My mom said that just having Stan at the table with us was blessing enough. And he was able to eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal, too!
Andy - We didn't make the TV broadcast of the parade. Bianca from the All My Children soap opera was a celebrity on our float. They focused on her, the nerve of them! We had the absolute BEST time

! If I knew how to copy a picture here I would. The kids were dressed in outfits that looked like newsboys from the 1930's. Big baggy cable knit sweaters, knickers, and newsboy hats, they were adorable. My sister and I had on velvet coats with feather collars and gold piping. Who knew that feathers were so warm and luxurious! I want a coat with a feather collar now, it was so warm and soft against my face. The hats were like leopard turbans with feathers in the front. Very fancy, smancy looking. I said all I needed was a string of pearls and a poodle under one arm! My nephew said we looked like queens and my sister took that as a compliment, until he said, "I didn't say Princesses, Mom, I said Queens!"
We sat on the train and our job was to smile and wave.

It was so cool

. I loved waving at all the little ones who were so excited to be at the parade. I greeted every person in uniform with "Happy Thanksgiving" and every single one of them cracked a smile and said it back. I had a wonderful time. By the time we found out we weren't on TV, it really didn't make a difference. I'll do it again next year if I can.
Most of my Thanksgiving Dinner came pre-cooked from Super G. But we really enjoyed it. We were together as an extended family and had many things to be grateful for.

I made homemade soup today with the leftovers and it sure smells good. I did not brave the shopping malls at all. My hat off to those of you who did.

Hope you found what you were looking for.
Happy Holidays to all my DIS Family

!!!
