I go to bed and you all go crazy!!!!
I am so in for the meet on CC. I love the banner idea and can see it all now...our very own excursion, DIS style! Get out of the way-y-y-y-y...here we come. I missed the smoothie meet on deck so I need to make up for it in 2006.

You guys keep me laughing so hard my girls at work think I am nuts.

Stan (or is it Bob?) is headed back to the hospital today as soon as they call us. Catscan showed abcesses. Don't understand and need an explanation from the doc. My poor guy is really not feeling well.

DIS meet, Castaway Cay, hammocks, smoothies, husbands, kids, Doreen's classic photo, batteries vs extension cords...these are keeping me laughing and (in)sane! I'll check in when I can for my next "fix".

Fondly,
Darlene

Hey Doreen - I didn't know what a jughandle was before I moved to NJ either. On main roads here in NJ we can't make lefthand turns, so we have to stay to the right, make sort of a right turn in the shape of a half circle (hence the name jughandle), cross over the road we were just on to make the left hand turn. Gosh that is really hard to describe! Any NJers out there that can help me out.

The important thing to remember in NJ is that all turns are from the right hand lane. LOL

Doreen
If you think that is confusing wait until you encounter a "circle". I just love New Jersey's roads system. It's like an amusement park.

Carmen - most of the time there will be a sign that says "All turns from right lane" then you know you are going to use a jughandle to turn left or u-turn. Does that help?

Here's the latest on the t-shirts.

I have ordered the screens and ink. They should arrive in the next 7 - 10 days. I am trying to get ahold of my girlfriend to find out when she can bring the rest of the silk-screening equipment over to my house (she lives about an hour away).

I am planning to create the screens and do some 'test shirts' before I start taking orders from you guys. I am hoping to start taking orders around the start of the year.

When I am ready to start taking orders I will send out a list of shirts sizes. I can get everything from infant sizes up to 3X for adults.

I'll keep you guys posted of my progress.
(Unfortunately, it's slow going at the moment, because all of my free time is taken up building tombstones, ghosts, witches, etc. for Halloween.)

how did you add the boat avator to your list.. I tried to add a pic and of course they are all too big, how do i get them 100x 100 or so or what can I do?? thanks in advance.

Doreen,

Just right click on the avatar of the ship then click on properties, highlight and save the url address, then go to your CP User, go to Edit Options then go down to the bottom of the page where you see the change avatar button. Open that up and enter the url address in, go to Submit Modifications and that should put the ship in your avatar.

Wow, I go out for a couple of hours, and come back to all these posts!! I am cracking up here!!! :teeth:

CV: THANKFULLY you got to it before me. DO NOT GO BY THE MAPQUEST DIRECTIONS, once you get off the highway!! I've never heard of "CR 673"!!!!!! LOL In fact, once you get off the the Turnpike or Parkway, and you're on Rt 9, you will be heading south, and at one point you'll be able to see the Peter Pank Diner on the opposite side of the road. On your RIGHT HAND side, you will pass a stripmall with a Burger King, McDonald's and a HESS gas station... right after you pass the HESS gas station, you will then pass a DAIRY QUEEN ice cream stand. Almost as soon as you've passed the DAIRY QUEEN, look to your LEFT, across Rt 9, and you should see the PETER PANK DINER.

Just go up Rt 9 a little more, STAY TO YOUR FAR RIGHT, and then follow the signs to get onto Rt 9 NORTH. Peter Pank Diner is on Rt 9 NORTH.

Another way to explain what a jug handle is (I thought everyone knew what a jug handle was. lol), its sort of like a "clover leaf", if you know what they are. Except there's only 1 "leaf" instead of 4. lol If you don't know what a clover leaf is either, then just forget what I just said. LOL

I can PM with John's and my cell phone numbers. We will have our cell phones with us in NJ. Please call if you need any directions on Sunday morning! :)

OMG, love the picture. It is sooo funny. Thanks for posting it Terry. As I was reading the posts I tried to picture this frantic woman carrying a smoothie maker around. Okay you guys can't find a battery-operated smoothie maker. We can throw the orange extension cord over the the side and run it into our suite since we're on Deck 8 practically under the Adult Pool area. Now the only thing is do you think the Captain will notice it? LOL

OK Guys.. count me and Courtney in for breakfast on Sunday. I talked to Bob (DH's real name - LOL) and he will take Connor to football.

MaryRose... is it better for me to take the TPKE to Exit 10 and go on the Pkwy South to 9 South or Take The TPKE to Exit 9 and pick up Route 9 North??? Probably shouldnt be much traffic either way at 9AM on Sunday morning.

Everyone is meeting @ 10AM right???

Ginny

Ginny - Yes 10am So glad you and Courtney can make it!! YAY

Here's what I would do:

TPK NO. to Exit 11
Take Exit 11 to GSP So.
Take GSP So. to Exit 123 (Old Bridge/Sayreville)
Take exit 123 to Rt. 9 So.

Follow Terry's directions from a few posts above this one.

There may be a shorter way, but this is the most direct one.

Terry - Sanity check me here please. Don't want to send my friends on a wild goose chase! LOL

Mary Rose:

That looks right to me, but I am not very familiar with the TPK, except for when I leave Sayreville, and take the TPK to head north to the GWB. Is Exit 11 on the TPK the one in Woodbridge?? If so, then I'd say your directions are exactly right.

What town are you coming from, Ginny?? I know that GSP Exit 123 is correct, then from there follow the directions I gave above, with the landmarks, that will get you right to the diner.

Oh Cripe, now Mapquest from your area Ginny says to take TPK exit 10 for the GSP So.. I could swear it was exit 11 so just look for the exit that mentions 9S and GSP So. and take it to the GSP to exit 123. It sound complicated but it's really easy. You know how you do something all the time and never pay attention! I live between rts 9 & 18 so I usually take exit 9 off the TPK so now I'm really confused and very sorry. I put a call him to my husband BOB Lol and I'll see what his take is on the exit thingy.

Lyn - I didn't know you were coming Sunday - what a GREAT surprise!

-CV

Wow - 21 people thats great. Im looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing those now famous words from Daniel

"MOM, I FOUND GINNY"!!!

Okay I went to I-95 & Tpk websites and they both say that exit 11 Woodbridge is for 9 So. and GSP So., So I vote for exit 11. Thank you and good night LOL

-CV

OK Carmen & Terry

I will take NJTPK to Exit 11, get on Pkwy South and then get off at Route 9 South Exit...

Thanks

I didn't say anything because I thought it was a surprise.
:jumping1: Yes Bob and I will be there. I printed my directions from Mapquest, hopefully we won't get lost.

I have had a very stressful couple of weeks and I could use a big dose of my DIS friends.

Darlene,

Not to change the subject too much guys, but if you need us to bail you out of jail (LOL), Saturday would be a good day for us. We will be going through your neck of the woods around noon on Saturday. We have to drop off some cookie dough and a cheesecake to my sister. My sister is meeting us at the half way point in the CVS plaza on the BH Pike.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program!!!

Andy(Bob) :earseek:

Hi AndyBob - LMAO - now you should like a real southerner!
