He is still running a temp around 102-103 F. Yesterday he did blood work & urinalysis (no results yet) and a chest x-ray (looked clear). Tonight he goes for a Catscan of the pelvic & abdomen area. They have him on antibiotics. He doesn't feel great, he's sleeping alot. Not like him. They discussed putting him back in the hospital but he is trying to avoid that if he can.

. He made a trip to the Post Office in the rain with a fever. My son called and said he couldn't find Stan in the house. He sounded so worried. I think he was afraid he might find him on the floor somewhere. Poor kid ! I told him to look for his truck and it was gone. Then I looked at the time and knew exactly where he had gone...the Post Office...it was 10:30 AM...the mail was in the box. He's so predictable. I called him and told him I was either going to kill him or start crying and he better get home. Boy was I upset with him . So, if I don't show up on the boards for awhile, someone please bail me out of jail .

Darlene: Yikes!! No wonder you were ready to kill him! In a way, it's good that he felt he wanted to go out, but at the same time, he's still sick, AND I know the weather's been crummy lately! Don't worry....a couple of my brothers are police officers, we'll all come, with Andy, and bail you out of jail If the bail is set too high, I'll make you a smoothie with a file in it

What good friends I have here! I can see it now...a smoothie with a file in it. What flavor?

I am much calmer now, thank you. Part of it is that the role I ALWAYS play for everyone else isn't a role I am comfortable with in this situation. I was my father's guardian for 2 years and excelled at the responsibility and paperwork and medical and social agency advocacy. I do all my mom's paperwork, and my sister's and brother's, too. Right now I just can't seem to concentrate when Stan hands me another form that needs to be filled out. I'm putting it in simple terms, but essentially I just want to be the "wife" and take care of him, not be the administrative assistant, too. I'm just handling this all in a different way than normal for me.

You all probably think I am nuts about now! LOL

What was the flavor of that smoothie...hmmm?

Lyn -- you can tell Matt I feel his pain as I presently have kidney stones. Saw the urologist yesterday and as soon as insurance approves it, I'll be going in for a ureteroscopy. Yuck. This is the third time I've had them and while they're not fun at least I'm not pregnant as I was with the first two episodes.

Darlene -- still sending prayers and PD to you and Stan.

Well, I guess I better go fix dinner as I hear three hungry boys talking and I must hurry as Lost is on the tube tonight. Have a great evening all!!

All - How's about one of our Castaway Cay days we make a big DIS bash. Smoothies on the beach and all! I tend to run off the boat as soon as they let us so I will tear-*** down to the family beach and reserve the whole thing for us YAY! Can't you see it now, a half-crazed 45-year-old (yikes 45!) women running down the beach, knocking people out of the way with her 100-lb backpack full of booze. But wait, who is that behind her, why it's the rest of her crazy DIS friends running with smoothie-makers, ice, and battery packs LOL!

Now that'd be a great day............

Me, too! ROTFLMA off. Now we not only have to be 1st, we have to be 1st with a blender! If the batteries run down do you think we have a long enough extension cord?

We'll bring the extension cords!!! We have a couple of those heavy, orange extension cords that will reach over 200 feet

Excellent idea, CV!!! Maybe we can bring a sign and hang it up on the beach....Kind of like a banner or something!! The Cruisin' Castaways will stake their claim on Castaway Cay!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE the idea of a Dis Smootie meet on Castaway Cay.. That would be sooo cool. Im sure by then we will be able to find battery operated smoothie makers so extension cords wont be an issue. Besides those cords are big and will take up precious suitcase room that can be used for much better things. LOL

OMG Terry your DEAD... I will pay you back somehow....lol Yes, Lisa, I didnt want my fellow cruisers to be thirsty so I went looking for a outlet to make fresh smoothies....lol Joanna came to the rescue and let me use her room that was close to the floor we were on.This cruise I have that same area.


Umm Darlene, now we have to come up with a flavor of SMOOTHIE the will taste good with a file in it,,lol how about " JAILHOUSE ROCK BLUEBERRY" or "GEE OFFICER I AM NOT A LUSH SANGRIA SLUSH" no no, thats more for CV,,lol lets put it to a vote,lol

CV I can see it now,, knocking the people in the w/c over,( by that time it will be my mother,,lol), all the little ones trying to get to get to the dino dig,, and here we come with back packs and smoothies in hand. 50 or so people running full BORE AWWWWWWWW get out of the way,,, lady with a mission.. Ginny you get the ICE,, CV you bring the BOOZE , Bobby and CINDY you get the little kids checked in , SUE AND DORI get lots of TOWELS, me, MARTY,Karen, LYNN, BOB, TERRY, BOB,LISA,TINA AND HUBBIE, JOANNA, DARLENE,STAN,ANDY and everyone grab hammocks and BIG CUPS..lol

Good Morning Everyone!!

I am lauging so hard(where are my depends when I need them). That picture of Doreen is a classic. She should put it on her Christmas card!!! Our family thinks she is the sweet innocent one!!!(but we all know the truth!!) I am all game for a smoothie party on CC. I will be 48(yikes!!) running down to stake our claim on the beach!!! With all of us down there other guests might think it is a CC excursion!!! If we can't find by then battery operated smoothie makers the extension cord is going to have to be extra long!! I wonder if we blew a circuit we would have to spend an extra day(fond memories of our 8/28/04 adventure!!)
