Hi Guys

So sorry I am late in voting and posting as I was a little late getting home from work today. Horrible rainy day here in Wales with dark clouds and no sunshine at all Oh to be on the cruise right now.

Liferbabe - Welcome Aboard

Terry- So sorry to hear your not feeling to good, get well soon.

Drumroll .....Here is the vote from the United Kingdom..............The Cruisin Castaways

Sue

Welcome Liferbabe, Please join right in so we get to know you.

Terry...Glad you are feeling better

I have been VERY busy, researching our 2005 summer vacation.

So this is the scoop so far.

1) St Petersburg Beach for a week

2) Holland America's Zuiderdam (This really has my eye)

3) Carnival Valor (Carnival's new ship)

Now here is something to vote on LOL

Joanna

Joanna:

Where does the Holland American go?

Lyn

OHHH When I tell you, I think you will like it.

Half Moon Cay (HAL private island)
St. Thomas
Tortola
Nassau

For the price of DCL's cat 8, I can get their suite with all the posh extras. Check it out. I am looking at the 8/20/05 sailing

Joanna

Boy, I wish that I could afford to go on a cruise every year.

However, if someone would like to adopt me and introduce me to the lifestyle to which I'd love to become accustomed... please do so! :teeth: (Or if you're interested in a 'personal valet'... LOL)

I guess that I can't complain too much. I do have a trip planned to Disneyland in CA in July 2005. I haven't told Devin about it yet. I plan to keep it as ammo for when he needs a 'kick in the butt' to keep him motivated in school this year. (I hate junior high already! Devin has already been sent to the principal once and got the worst progress report he's ever brought home the other day. For those with teenagers, I ask... does it get any better? All I can say is... I hope so.)

Dori

I need an insanity break!

Liferbabe: Welcome aboard !

Joanna: That cruise sounds so nice. Between the wedding and the 2006 cruise I didn't even think about a vacation for 2005 hmmmm. Let's see married in 2004 divorced in 2005 ( because that's what Chuck would do if I booked another cruise) single in 2006. Sounds good to me. :teeth: Oh just kidding........

Dori: I know about teenagers ! My son is 14.:cool1: I take one day at a time and say to my self there's no place like home, there's no place like home oh don't forget to click your heel 3 times either. Sometimes it works. lol My daughter is 11 and is a little:angel: but I am giving her time. lol Tina

After much searching, and with the Holiday 2006 cruise costing 9K, we have decided to join y'all!

It will be Myself, DH and 2 sons ages 9 and 7 at time of cruise. Thanks so much for posting and all the info!

I would not have even known where to begin without this board!

Welcome! :sunny:

Tina,

Just wait until your daughter hits junior high school and your "little angel" will grow horns! LOL

Actually, Devin is a good kid. He got sent to the principal over a bullying situation that is going into it's third year. (Devin is the 'victim', but not completely innocent in all circumstances.)

I realize that the poor progress report is due to the fact that he is still adjusting to the difference between elementary school and junior high. (Starting a week late because we were hijacked by a mouse running from a storm didn't help matters.) I am cutting him some slack because of this, but I told him that I expected him to bring the low grades up to Cs by the time the quarter grades come out and that I want them up to Bs before the end of the year.

Unfortunately, he didn't inherit my ambition and drive. He's more like his father. He'd rather "play" than "work" any day. (Wouldn't we all.) Sometimes, trying to keep him organized, motivated and focussed is an exercise in frustration. (Yea, I know... that seems to be the story with most teenagers.)

I guess that it's time to start singing. "I will survive!..."

Dori :p

Oh my gosh.........sounds exactly like my son. I wonder if it's a boy girl thing. My daughter is the complete opposite ! she is my go getter and my helper.:sunny: Tina

Joanna:

That sounds like heaven. I know most of the caribbean cruises are cheaper than Disney. On Carnival we are in a Balcony room with the three of us for $3000 which includes gratuities. If we hadn't booked Carnival already I would switch to Holland American. We are traveling with friends that really have their hearts set on Carnival and so does Matt.

Are you going with the suite? I hope so it is so worth it.

Lyn

Can I have 2 votes?

If so here they are

The storm chasers

and

Kooky Castaways

Those are my first 2 choices BUT if I have to break a tie I would go with the Cruisin' Castaways

Mitch wants the suite, BUT I on the other hand feel we can go with a balcony for much less and it would still be nice. What was the website for Carnival that you went on?

Good Morning Everyone !!!
I know some people have trouble getting to the polls so consider this your personal escort...:moped: :moped: :moped:

For those of you feeling like your on another planet because I am driving you nuts with this.............Here is your Transportation.

I just added a new picture to my signature. I'm not sure how it looks because I didn't scan it, it's already in a frame so I took a picture of the picture with my digital camera. LOL Does it look bad? Should I put the other picture back (Me and DSs standing in front of the one of the Stacks)??? Its a big picture and it looks slightly distorted all shrunk down.
