Good Morning Everyone!!!

I vote for The Black Pearl Castaways!!!

And I endorse this message and any other message I send!!!:wave2:

LOL You guys crack me up  between misnamed husbands, man-bashing ;), and election-type comments. :p

I haven't been online much for the past few days because I haven't been feeling well. I've been checking the boards and email a few times a day, but I can't sit at my desk for very long at a time. I think I have a sinus infection :( I couldn't sleep at all last night due to the pain and pressure. My doctor's office opens in about a half hour, so I'll call and get in there today. I work 1 day a week, and that's today! I hate missing work, but maybe I can get an early morning appt, then head down to work. I work an hour away, on Cape Cod, and past a certain time, it's just not worth it to go.

I hope everyone is doing ok! :wave2:

Take care Terry and I hope you feel better soon, I also suffer from sinus infections and I know what you are dealing with. One thing that has helped me is taking Alfalfa tablets on a daily basis.

You have way to much time on your hands..... And Tina, with all the wedding plans and favors ,how do you have that time...

TERRY SOrry you are not feeling well. Its that time of yr for the sinus stuff to creep up on you..
I was looking at the news last night about that FLU shot... anyone with a CHRONIC illness is eligible for the shot... and guess what.. I can get it... I dont want it.. but I can...lol

Darlene Good come back to the man bashing,,lol:worship: Stan is the MAN,, how is he feeling? Will he be able to get back to work soon? How is Sandy doing with him home?

CARMEN>> any more dectective work?? or back lashes from MOONIES, watch that be the next topic...:)

Doreen:crazy:

Terry - Hope you are feeling better.

Doreen - How are you feeling? I haven't talked to you much lately.
Give me a call sometime!!! Do you remember my number????LOL:wave2: :D

Just popped in to say Hi everyone! Haven't been on for a few days. I had a 10 page research paper to do for school, then I had a class last night & I will be in school all weekend long. :(

I just had about 5 pages to get caught up on. Geez you guys sure can talk! J/k ;) Everyone's enthusiasm keeps me excited about the cruise.

I loved seeing the pics & putting names to faces. Thanks!

Diane

Doreen: I run on about 5 hours of sleep a night ! I am one of those people who may not "work" out side of the home and get paid.............but trust when I say I work. Due to the fact that Chuck is gone all week I am often his secretary. He will call me up to say .......Oh can you do this for me or that?:sunny:

I often still feel like a sigle parent during the week running the kids around. Some days are spent just on the phone taking care of things. I try to work on favors when kids are in bed. I am almost done.:teeth:

Election response: Sense of humor is a good thing, I laugh at myself all the time.:hyper: Tina

Terry: Have you ever try AIRBOURNE ? It is loaded with vitimans. Here are some good vibes. Hope you feel better soon. Tina:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Stan drove yesterday! Just through town but it is a start. It tired him out (I told him it would!). He won't be back to work until the 1st week in Dec. He will have chemo but I'm not clear on allthat until we go to the oncologist. So much to take in and digest.

I thought Sandy was doing very well until last night. It's amazing how little ones can hide what they are thinking. She's 7 now and has made that jump in reasoning skills and it shows. According to Sandy her baby doll, Caroline, was worried that Daddy might get sicker and die. Tore my heart! But I'm so glad she told me so we could have a chat. We decided to comfort Caroline and let her know that Daddy is getting better everyday. We believe in the power of prayer and talked about all the prayers being lifted for Daddy. We talked about how Caroline didn't need to worry and that we would always let her know what was going on so she didn't have to guess or be scared. We took some extra time cuddling and she seemed more content. That blew me away all night. I'm so glad we take time at bedtime to talk, that's when she usually opens up about what's on her mind.

How are you feeling? Is she your speech improving? Do they still think it all started with a migraine? They are nasty things.

So sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Do warm compresses help your sinus'. They usually make me more comfortable. Try it.

I know I already voted, but I have another idea for the tshirt name.

How about "The Castaway Cruisers" - since we are going to Castaway Cay twice?

Sue

Man! I disappear for a few days and we wind up on page 45!!!!

Anyway, hope all of the ill ones are feeling much better! It's that time of year for us too, until the first hard frost kills all the germs.

My vote for the shirts goes to ............ The Cruisin' Castaways (but I'd also be game for The Castaway Cruisers).

On another topic - my dad has been visiting from FL this week. He brought some pics of the storm damage in his area. They were just incredible. Now, he lives inland - but there is still considerable damage. He says that the big problem now is finding construction materials - wood, shingles, etc. There are sooooo many in need and so few building supplies available. They were very fortunate - minor damage to their house and some damage to their landscaping.

Just a reminder to remember the Red Cross - without them, many people wouldn't have shelter or food.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. I went to the doctor this morning, and I do have a sinus infection. So now I'm on an antibiotic, and in addition to the Flonase that I already use, he wants me to take Zyrtec-D for 2 weeks.

I have heard of Airborne, I'll have to try it! It certainly can't hurt, and hopefully it'll help. I'll try the alfalfa and warm compresses too. It's really weird, but I feel like I've been punched in the nose. All of the pain and pressure is radiating out from the bridge of my nose. lol SO I bet the compresses will help with that pain.

I think we have a lot of good ideas for the t-shirts. It's hard to choose only one. I'm sure Dori is going to do a terrific job on them :)

Andy: I didn't realize that alfalfa could help to ward off a sinus infection. Some winters I end up getting several of them. I think trying the alfalfa and the Airborne should help me get through this winter with less of them. Or no more of them, anyway. :)

After much searching, and with the Holiday 2006 cruise costing 9K, we have decided to join y'all!

It will be Myself, DH and 2 sons ages 9 and 7 at time of cruise. Thanks so much for posting and all the info!

I would not have even known where to begin without this board!

I LOVE it......I'm also new to this group of people (who
have previously sailed) but I'm so anxious to meet
everyone. This thread is terrific, keep checking on it.

A friend of mine got me started on Alfalfa tablets many years ago. The Alfalfa is a natural antihistamine, and does not make me drowsy. I get my Alflafa tablets from Puritan Pride and I take 5 tablets every morning. It's amazing how they have helped me. I was hospitalized when I was 8 years old because my sinus infections were so bad. As I grew up, I would get sinus infections several times a year with severe headaches. Since taking the Alfalfa tablets, the headaches are few and far between.
