He'll move to Florida and work for DCL to get the CM discount.

I predict the stampede to book either maiden voyage will be 1,000 times worse than what it was to book the repo cruises last month. In other words, my chances are nil. Besides, I'd rather wait a few weeks and let the CMs work out the inevitable kinks.

It will be interesting to see the names of the new ships. I prefer "enchantment" over "dreams".

I can also move to FL and get the Florida Resident Rates, but I like Kay's answer better!!!!! ;)

I like Disney Dream and Wish, Angelina likes Disney Fantasy and Dream. Hazel says, it doesn't matter to her as long as she gets to sail on them. :rotfl: Come to think of it, Hazel might be on to something!!! :rotfl2:

Hi Guys...Thanks for all the well wishes. We had a good time. We went away, we had fun, and if anyone comes to NYC, Hairspray was very good. We all enjoyed it.

2 new ships... I hope they sail one from New York. Wouldn't that be great, but it seems they will keep them by there parks so they can get residuals from the parks also.

A lot of SN*W expected tomorrow. Looks like a snow day for the kids.

Kids had a 2-hour delayed opening today. Got a couple of inches of snow at best. I think this winter will be record setting for lowest snowfall totals (at least in this part of NJ).

I like the name "Wish" for one of the new ships. To think that someone at DCL is getting paid to come up with names and itineraries for the ships. What a job.

Joanna....good to hear you had a good weekend.

Hello friends of my Cruise of a life time.Joanna I am so sorry for your terrrible luck.. The poor kids and you to of course.. Who would have thought that you wouldnt make it out of NYC..

USAIR lost my daughter last Sunday on her way to GREENSBORO, NC. they called her early to get her on another flight that was cancelled from Friday... The plane was rerouted to DC.. the connecting plane left 12 min early without her.. needless to say she was stuck at the REGAN airport alone and no $$$ for over 8 hrs.. I was p$##%&.. i called them and went back to our aiport and got a supervisor that remembered us from when they called her early.. needless to say she was the most watched person in DC that night..lol and she got a free round trip ticket. I was frantic.. and played the mom card of course.. the supervisor called me every hr to tell me what she was doing... she is not 18 yet...

Anyway.. so 2 new ships.. it woud be great to be out of NYC every few months..lol or maybe even VIRGINIA after they go to drydock..I bet LA and maybe the MED for a permanet spot for it..

Terry congrats on your spring vacation.. I would have been there during APRIL 29... but the kids didnt want to miss school..
Did you see the new OPI Australian colors??

Is this the misery loves company thread????? I've had quite a week.

First, DS suffered a concussion at school. He got pushed down in the hallway and hit the back of his head. He was very dizzy and looked dreadful so I took him home. He slept all afternoon and by dinnertime looked better.

But felt worse the next morning so I took him to the doctor. Doc doesn't see signs of anything worse so DS goes to school the next day. Unfortunately, they were looking at optical illusions in science class and that triggered more headaches. So I pick up DS at school and we head over to the hospital for a CT scan.

Scan is negative but doctor says the headaches are going to be around for a while and to take advil/tylenol.

So I've been giving DS advil before school and that just about makes it through the day. No sports for two weeks. DS is doing much better this week.

I am the queen of head injuries as two years ago I was knocked unconscious by an out-of-control skier. So I know what DS is going through and what to look for.

Then this week we had a fire in our front yard. That heavy wind early on Tuesday morning blew the electrical wires into an old oak tree and ignited the tree sending sparks onto an area of the ground where we blew all the fall leaves igniting the leaves.

The heavy wind blew the fire and smoke directly towards one of the neighbor's houses which woke them up at 5:00am. They call 911 and the husband rushes over to our house banging on the door. DH wakes up, looks outside and see a line of flames across our front yard and rushes out.

By then a policeman shows up and uses his fire extinguisher to douse the flames. DH is stomping with his foot to help. Then three fire trucks show up to put out the rest of the flames. The electric company shows up later to make sure the electrical wires are okay and puts out the smoldering oak tree.

And myself, DD, and DS slept through the whole thing.

Wow - do we have some damage. Later in the day with the afternoon sun shining I went to look. The the primary and secondary electrical wire ignited the tree. All the leaves on the ground are blackened and my azeleas, boxwood and hydrangea bushes are burnt and other little vegetation is gone.

Yikes. We are so lucky, though. We live in a heavily wooded area and if the fire had gone into the woods then it would have been very, very bad. Just a slight shift in the wind direction would have had the fire go right into the woods. Fortunately the wind was blowing away from our house.

DH was already home sick with a cold and having that excitment outside at 5:00am when the temperature was single digits turned his cold into the flu and he's been hom since.

So glad we've got a week long ski trip to Vermont on 3/31 to look forward to.

We are heading to Florida at the end of the month for a week, I for one, can't wait!!!

Happy Birthday. Definitely post a trip report when you get back. We're heading to WDW in August and I just bought the latest Passporter guide.

I will admit that I'm so focused on 2008 that I'm neglecting my 2007 cruise.

Ugh.....daylight savings change already this weekend???????? :scared1: I need my extra hour of sleep.

Darlene, Just wanted to wish Stan good luck on his upcoming surgery and hope that Sandra's leg is healing. Take Care.
