Hi Everyone!!!

I can't believe ohly rates thru 4/08 were released! Doesn't DCL know they are killing their obsessive planners! LOL!

Elaine - I'm sorry I missed morning coffee - next week then?

Terry - are you still planning on coming down Thanksgiving?

We've been lost in College Application Mode around here. It's been a depressing week - My baby planning on leaving home and me turning 46

Anyway, if I can brag for a moment, Taryn's Oct. SAT scores are in and she scored a 1300. That should definitely help get here into most schools here in NJ (except Princeton, of course). And if it helps her get into Rutgers we'd be thrilled (drivable)! Wish us luck during all this confusion. Thanks

Doreen - Hope you're feeling better friend! I know you have the "College Crazies" at your house too.

Hi Andy, Ed, Joanna, Kay & Shirley!!!

Oh Yeah, I almost forgot, I'm nearly done Christmas Shopping! YIPPEE!

Have a wonderful week everyone!
Mary Rose

Hello Everyone.. wow the seasons sure have changed since the last we spoke.. Thanks for all the well wishes.. This is the first I have been really able to SIT at the computer and read any emails or posts of any kind... My lap top has kind of bit the big one.. so I have been computer-less for 2 weeks..

As Elaine has said the surgery went ok.. but I have had a few minor complications that kept me in the hospital a little longer and the healing time at home has been very UNCOMPFORTABLE. :confused3 The doctor put me on antibiotics this past Thursday and it has helped ease the pain.. Again... thanks for the well wishes.. :teeth:

MARY ROSE.. Daniel just started confirmation classes today in fact.. A 3 yr ordeal for us..

JOANNA.. Jaclyn was only in 6th grade when she went to Australia so she went to Sydney,Brisbane, Canberra(sp), The GBR, Aborignies..I know she missed going to the Opera house since she was so very sick...Her dress went though.. She still has her digeridoo...and her JACOBS LADDER.. When DHL delivery truck came and brought 4 digeridoos that one day.. they wondered what they were that were packed all like from Australia.. if you can afford to send her.. by all means do so..

TERRY, ANDY, SUE and Denise and SHIRLEY.. so nice to hear from all of you..
Shirley.. today I got in my car today (still cant drive.. ) and your pillow gave me some much needed cushioning. Thank you so much.. :grouphug:

Ok my time to sit is up.. Have a great week everyone.. talk to you soon.. I go to the Doctors in the afternoon...wish me luck

DOREEN

Mary Rose, good luck with the college shopping!

Rutgers---Rutgers---Rutgers

Location is the #1 reason I prayed Russell would choose LeMoyne. He really has the best of both worlds, living at school and close to home, plus the $$ offered was too good to pass up.

I found a great site for books, as my son is always having to read something for a class. Abebooks.com. I found a book that he needed, which no library in the area had an available copy of, which would have been $25.95 in a book store, for $1.00, plus $5.50 shipping. It took about 3 business days to receive, was not brand new, but certainly was not dogged eared either.

OK, so maybe coffee next Sunday, but I slept in this AM.

Not too cold here today, but I like to keep a fire going over the w/e. It keeps the furnace from kicking on. Now it is time to go up to bed and read and get ready for Desperate Housewives and work tomorrow.

Have a good evening all.

Hi MaryRose

Doreen...Thanks, I gave them a deposit. UGHHHH Now we are putting things we don't use anymore on e bay for her to sell and make money.

Anyone know any good fundraisers we can do?

Hey JOANNA. now the fun just begins... Jaclyn did of course the CAN drive..every holiday or BIG game weekend we did flyers to different neighborhoods and asks to put the bottles and cans out for us on MONDAY after the big games and holidays...

Also, we saw some kids in later yrs make APPLES like MRS PRINDABLE(sp).. and sell them at craft fairs with a sign or note on them telling why they are selling them and asking for help....

MARY ROSE..I know that feeling.. Jaclyn also, took the SAT in OCT but no results yet...CONGRATS on the high score...Jaclyn has her heart set on the school in NYC... she did some shopping yesterday for an apt down there..
They grow up so fast...

Doreen

Hmmmm Andy, Very Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Hawaii???

I am actually thinking I would like the Med again. I may be ready for it in 2008.

Doreen...Thanks for your ideas. I like the candy apple/fair idea. Keep em' coming.

I just saw this on the main cruise forum, don't know how true it is :confused3 , just wanted to share this with everyone: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1269343

Yeah, I saw that too. I think the captain is just passing along rumors.

Its just so strange that we're hearing absolutely nothing about 2008 whereas last year it was pretty much a given that the Magic would be in the Med.

It would not make sense for the Magic to be away from both Port Canaveral and Castaway Cay for the 10th anniversary.

Happy Election Day Everyone!!!

Since Angelina has the rest of the week off from school due to Election Day today, and NJ Teachers Convention, and I have the rest of the week off, after my dentist vist today we are heading to Lancaster, PA for a few days of rest, relaxtion and togetherness!!! I was able to get us a room at Willow Valley for tonight and Wednesday night using their Fall Getaway Package. Angelina was thrilled when she found out there are two indoor pools. I will be MIA for a few days as my laptop is remaining home during this trip.

I'm off to get some bloodwork done, the lab opens at 7:30 and since I can't eat until I get the bloodwork done, I want to be there when the door opens this morning!!! What a way to start the first day of my mini-vacation, bloodwork and then the dentist. :rotfl:

Andy...You will LOVE Willow Valley Resort. We have been going there for years. Did you get an Atrium room?

I wanted to get a Pool View room, but we wound up in the South Wing, I think overlooking the pond.

We have been to Willow Valley to eat a few times, but I have never stayed there, but Hazel did for a Ladies Retreat.

Voting done, bloodwork done, car is filled with gas, next comes the dentist, then we are on our way!!! :goodvibes

Time to get some breakfast!!! :teeth:

Oh You have to let me know how the South Wing is. That is detached from the main buildings. If you have been there before that is the motel looking building right next to the restaurant. I'm sure they are nice rooms also.

Have a great time. Enjoy the food! pretend like you are on a cruise LOL

Enjoy the food!

I'm sure I will, that's one of the main reasons I selected to stay there!!! :rotfl2:

We got the package that includes 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners, oh my and I worked so hard to get these 20 pounds off since coming off the cruise in August.

Success!!! :thumbsup2

I just called Willow Valley and I was able to secure a Pool View room on the first floor at the center indoor pool. I'm not going to tell Hazel or Angelina about this, it's going to be a surprise for both of them!!! :teeth:

Andy, You'll love Willow Valley, and the rooms around the center pool are really convenient to the restaurant too! If you get the chance, you should take the Herr's Potato Chip tour, it's about a 30 minute ride from Willow Valley and at the end of the tour you get to sample the hot potato chips right off the packaging belts, they are fantastic that way. Have a great trip and tell Willow Valley we'll be back in February!

Thanks Bob!!!

I'm off :moped: to the bank, then the :teeth: dentist(6 month check-up).

Hazel is getting our princess awake so they will be ready when I get back. Our bag and road atlas are packed and sitting by the front door.

I just  making these last minute trips, it's quite exciting!!! :teeth:

Andy thanks for the link about summer 2008
Well if thats's true it will semi sucks unless its someplace we can afford

I have some bad news,

Well I wont be working for a while, I am now home, but this past Saturday I was taken to the hospital via ambulance. I was out shopping and I fell down some stairs. My foot slipped and down I went. I lamded the wrong way and I ruptured my right quad tendon.

They did the operation late Saturday night and yesterday evening I was able to go home.

I am in a full splint and unable to bend my right leg

I have been told I will be out of work for the next six to ten weeks.

I now have a matched set, as I ruptured my left quad tendon in 1998!

Ed,

Oh how awful - that must have hurt like...well, you know what.

And this puts you right through Christmas dealing with this. That really sucks.

And I'm sure you take no comfort in having been through this before dealing with the recovery.

My chiropractor told me a good joke....you know how physical therapists are called "PTs". The "PT" stands for physical terrorist.

Sending lots of good wishes your way :grouphug: :grouphug:

OMG Ed, Feel better.

Andy...You will LOVE the poolview rooms. The bakery is right there also Mmmm Good.

Not this past New Years but the one before we went up there for New Years Eve. It was such a great time. We did have to bring our own Champagne and alcohol (it's a dry county) But they gave you everything for a great party. DJ, Bingo, hats, blowers, beads it was unbelievable what you got for the price.

Hmmm...Maybe we should all do a DIS meet New Years Eve. What do you think? I'll plan it and then I'll be the one not going LOL

we should have a dismeet at vernon creek lol and all go sking, and then I could make it, since I never have any money and won't be able to drive like more then two hours some place
