My goodness its summer like here in NJ. DH is out blowing the leaves out of the gutters. I'm cleaning the filter in our hot tub. Got to make sure that is all set for use this winter.

Hasn't it been a great :sunny: day, we've had the windows open yesterday and today, not sure how long that might last, but we'll take it for November!!! :thumbsup2

went down to Atlantic City yesterday at 10:00am, got there around 1:00, went to eat at house of blues, checked into the showboat hotel, walked on the boardwalk, went back to hotel room till 5:00, and walked around hotel till 6:00 and got in line for New Found Glory, The Early November, Cartel, and Hit The Lights concert. Got front row for Hit The Lights, Cartel, and The Early November and then moved to the back to watch New Found Glory. Concert got over at 11:35 or so, everyone was leaving then so it took 5 mins to get out, went to the hotel room and then my dad and I went to get soda's and cheesesteaks on the boardwalk. As we were walking back in the hotel, Serg and Joe who are in the band The Early November(TEN) were standing in the hallway on the lobby talking to there friends, well as a was walking in that's when I realize they are my all time favorite band ever, I have always known they were my favorite band, but that's when I knew how much, because as a walked by them I almost had a heart attack and had to catch my breath since I was so happy I walked by them. went to the room and fell asleep around 2:30. Woke up this morning and ate breakfast. After that went to the room till about 9:45, then walked on the boardwalk down to the Tropicana(spelling?) Hotel. Took some pictures then walked back to the Showboat Hotel, left and drove down to the Tropicana Hotel to get a cheesesteak for lunch, got the cheesesteaks and went back to the car and left to come home, got home around 3:30.

this was a great weekend, might be going down to see The Early November Concert on december 27th, so if anyone will be down that way on december 27th or 28th let me know and we can plan and meet up.

Doreen: I'm glad that you're able to sit for short periods. I hope you're all healed soon!

Elaine: OH MY GOODNESS, HOW SCARY!!! :( I'm so glad that Russell is OK now!! Please let us know what the allergist says. I hope he (and you!) never has to go through that again.

Julia: Sounds like a fun concert :teeth:

Hi Julia :wave2:

Sounds like you had a great time in AC, my sister and her family lives about 5 minutes from AC, in fact my neice Teri used to work at one of the casino hotels, but I forget :confused3 which hotel she worked at.

Things are starting to slow down and you won't believe but I am actually working on the cruise photos so I can post them to our website. :goodvibes

The other day I was reading a post (one of those speculating on 2008) and someone claimed that Captain Thord said the Magic would not be in the Caribbean during the summer of 2008.

If DCL decides to go back to California in 2008 then there is a good possibility that the two weeks we have been looking to book (Aug - week 3 or 4) would be part of a repositioning cruise.

1. What do you thing the chances are of this happening?
2. Would you book a 2 week Panama repositioning cruise?

For the record Missy and I would seriously consider flying to CA and take the cruise back as long as it didn't conflict with school too much.

I think we are just going to "wait" and "see" what happens for the Summer of 2008. If the Magic does go away from the Caribbean for the Summer of 2008, we might consider doing a shorter cruise on the Wonder.

Jeff...Any speculation on where the Magic may go? I can't see the Magic going anywhere where there isn't a Disney Park. That would lose a lot of other revenue.
What do you all think?

Hey yeah you're right!!!! THANKS ANDY!!! I guess I've been around awhile now.

Jeff,

To answer your questions...

1) I'll go out on a limb here and say zero chance of the Magic going back to CA in summer of '08. I cannot believe DCL would take the Magic away from the Caribbean for two summers in a row.

2) We might consider a repo cruise - it depends on the itinerary (and price).

The ports are more important to us - lots of sea days don't appeal to us.

But I'm more inclinced to go with what Andy says - we would do the Wonder. We might even then head over to Mexico ourselves and basically redo our double dip cruise on our own. My kids still talk about Costa Maya.

Hi Lainie,

Just wanted you to know that you and your son are in my thoughts. I know how painful that can be. How scary for all of you. :sunny: Sunnier days ahead....

Good Morning Morning All

Thank you to all who sent their well wishes for Russell. He is feeling better and today we have the chore of finding an allergist who pars w/my insurance. But for my son, out-of-pocket is worth it. Keep you all updated.

I thought it kind of interesting that the Magic has been in the Caribbean in 2004 and 2006, but will it be in 2008. I guess the only reason I thought about it was that we (Cruisin' Castaways) seem to like to sail in late August when a Repo cruise would normally sail.

If we continue to sail at the end of August then it would appear that eventually time would catch up and we will have to make a decision on sailing on a Repo cruise or moving our normal sailing date.

We did in 2005; we weren't interested in California, but if the Magic returned to CA in 2008 I would like to bring the Magic home.

I have no information to back up this speculation; I was just thinking about a two week cruise and there is no way I am getting my wife on a plane to Barcelona so I guess my best change is a Repo back from CA.

Hello All

Well we are back from a fabulous 2 weeks at WDW, and what a great time of year to go :thumbsup2

Loads of highs and just a couple of lows to tell you about, I will start with the highs:

Weather - fantastic apart from 2 days of rain which was nothing to worry about at all, low humidity which is always the killer for me.

Parks - Brilliant as always, low crowds, low waiting times. MNSSHP was a blast and we loved it, also managed to catch a sneek preview of the Osbourne Christmas Lights which we have never seen before and were fantastic. :thumbsup2

Food and Wine Epcot- Truly wonderful, loved it and it was great trying out all the food and of course the wine :rolleyes1

Dis - Meet - We had a fantastic dis meet at Epcot on the 3rd November and it was lovely meeting up with everyone.

Location - Simply the best, We did like the Dolphin but it is very large and had lots of conventions being held and we did feel at times as though we missed the little Disney touches that the Disney Resorts do so well, also the pools close at 9pm sharp each night which was a real downer for us as we love a late night swim after a hard days walking at the parks. However being able to walk to Epcot and MGM was truly a blessing and the location could not be faulted, loved the Boardwalk area.

Universal - What a great time here we had, meeting Donkey from Shrek was the real highlight and I will always smile gleefully when I recall him asking if I was Vickis sister and me telling him I was her mum and him replying "Mom, lady you to young to be anybodys mom" in that great fantastic voice of his with that wonderful smile.

Only a few lows:

I was quite poorly for a day or 2 the first week and had to spend a day in bed, I seemed to have picked up a tummy bug, but it passed quickly enough.

5 hour delay on our flight going over and then topped off with an 11 hour 45 min flight, for some reason we had to go the long way over which meant we didnt check into our hotel until after midnight.

I had a very nasty fall the second week at epcot, my own fault really as I wore very silly flip flops in the pouring rain and slipped on wet tiles at Epcot, almost knocking myself out. My thanks to the very kind people who rushed over to help me as Vicki went to pieces as she knew I had really hurt myself, I woke up the next day to a very colourful rear end  and very bad back, however after spending the day recouping in the sunshine at Typhoon Lagoon I felt a lot better.

We had the most amazing holiday and I would love to go back at this time of the year again, it was as they say Magical.

Hope you are all well, as you can see its well after midnight here in the UK and Im so jetlagged and on Florida time that I just cant sleep.

Speak to you all real soon

Welcome Home Sue and Vicki!!!

I trust this message finds you BOTH well!!! ;)

So I have been playing with a Flash Photo Viewer which is pretty slick. The photos load quickly, you can navigate either using the thumbnails or clicking on the current photo, and I can load as many photos as I want.

Yes, the move is finally over and now I am tending to the "Honey Do" list which includes fixing a leaking shower and building a custom Formica counter top for the family computer lab area, but I did manage to find time to actually finish uploading the photos. There are no captions, but I don't think they are necessary for this group; the pictures are self-explanatory.

The first 15 or so photos are of the Roy Suite. DCL: August 2006 Photos

Enjoy
