Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 2

Happy Saturday Evening All-

I just got home from work and the dogs are barking. My feet are killing me. We were very busy. I thought everyone would be at Halloween Parties. But I guess they do have to eat. I hope everyone is healthy and safe and I also would rather be somewhere with the word DISNEY in it.

I know what you mean Andy about the weather this past week. It was a good week to use those flannel pillowcases. Alli has been playing her soccer games in long johns for those early morning games. We are not morning people to begin with and have a 8:30 AM game 45 minutes away from the house is bad enough, but then add the fall chill was a bit much. Only two more weeks of outdoor soccer then she moves indoor, then the real fun begins. Yippee.....

We've been using our new pillowcases every night since we received them!!! They are washed every Saturday morning and back on our pillows by Saturday afternoon, brings back wonderful memories of our August DD cruise!!!

The wind was really something last night. I walked out the front door just in time to catch our empty trash can as is started flying down the street.

I didn't get much sleep here last night, as the wind was just howling! I also went retrieving empty garbage cans this AM. Still waiting for 1 more tree to lose its leaves and then the big clean up can be finished.

I really wish I could have had the opportunity to spend more time with all of you. The three sisters are a delightful, fun group.

Andy.....glad you are enjoying your pillowcases so much. I wish they would come out with another color but designed the same way as the blue fabric. I really loved that fabric. They made it in fleece with Mickey on it too. And I got to pick up some flannel with solid black Mickey heads, but it's just not the same.

Off to soccer in the ton of wind we are having here, should make for an interesting game. The ball is going to fly through the air today.

Wow, reading this post from you Ed gave me a major flashback to a year ago when we were all talking about leaves and yard work, and you kept telling us how many bags of leaves you had!! And now this year is almost over and our cruise has come and gone, but at least we have all of the wonderful memories!


It was a windy, stormy weekend here too! Well, yesterday it was; today has been really sunny, but still windy.

Shirley: Speaking of pillowcases, ours aren't flannel, but we all LOVE them. They are very special to us, and thanks again so much for doing that for us! They are among our most favorite souvenirs of the cruise.

Hi All....Happy Saturday.....it's a fine fall day here in MD. The rain is gone and the sun is peeking out. Ron and Alex are out sailing in the wonderful breeze left behind. Still would rather be anywhere that starts with the word Disney. It has only been two months but it seems like years ago now.

Wow - I was just thinking the exact same thing about our cruise. Now that the leaves have turned (and coming down in droves) it pushes the cruise further from our minds.

Yup, extremely blustery here, too. Lots and lots of downed branches but thankfully no power lines. The color on the leaves has been wonderful this year.

Funny how it feels like the fall of '05 with DCL delaying the release of '08 rates/itinerary.

Some of the trip reports lately have been absolutely priceless - some posts are so funny I have to get up and walk around I'm laughing so hard. Don't recall any of us having the kind of (mis)adventures these cruisers have had but we can sure sympathize.

Wow - end of October already. Where did this month go?

Hi Terry....glad you are using your pillowcases too. I just ran out of that blue thread. It was such a pretty color that I did a lot of work with it. I have been thinking about you lately and door signs. Still having some mental issues about the Haunted House tie in to a cruise door sign. I could have ghosts fly from WDW to the cruise ship. Tell me your thoughts about what you were thinking for your cruise. Send me your dates and friends' names too. How many would you like?

Ed....despite all the work with the leaves, I bet they are/were very pretty.

Hi Everyone!!!!

How have you all been? DS John made his Confirmation last week and the countdown to that was very hectic. But now I have a few minutes and I wanted to say hi to all of you! I have to read back a few pages but I see reference made to Doreen. Did she have her surgery? If so, how is she doing?

Okay, so where are those 2008 rates???? I am so mighty tempted to book the brand new NCL Gem for '08 and do the Magic in '09 (25th Anniversary) but I'm waiting to see the rates and itineraries for the Magic in 2008 first.

Hope all of you and you're families are doing well. I miss you all!!!!

Now I'm going to go read and see what you've all been up to!

Sorry to say Andy, not my lid, that stayed in the yard. Retrieved the can up the street a few houses.

Shirley, I go through withdrawal every Saturday around noon, I just wish I was on that Ship.

Doreen had the surgery last Tuesday. She is having ALOT of pain and is just not able to get comfortable. She sounds a little better every day. She is not on the computer, but I will give her your regards. Thank you all for asking. I think it was successful, now just the recovery.

The wind finally died down this AM and we were spared any damage.

Mary Rose, congratulations to DS, John, on making his Confirmation. It seems so long ago that Russell was making his, and then of course he stood as sponsor for Jaclyn, now we move on to Daniel. What beautiful memories.
The so-called extra hour of sleep is really doing a number on me. I just can't get my act together. So I am heading upstairs with my book and hope i see 9:00 PM.
