Calling All 8/19/06 Special Western Cruisers! AKA "The Cruisin' Castaways" Part 2

Well we got a suprise this morning, Beth heard a loud Crack during a storm and looked out the window to see a large tree limb fall mostly into our neighbors yard and a little in ours.

The Tree is on the other side of the stone wall and belongs to the town.
Its on property the town purchased last year.

The inspector has already been by and authorized the towns tree service to come and remove and cut down the remainer of the tree.

Luckly its not near the house.

Hi All!!
I cannot believe that 4 weeks from now I will be in Sunny Florida for the first time!!! I am counting the days, and the nights too. Just got home from work and am going to relax. See you all soon

Andy: Is this your first western cruise?? Just wondering why Angelina would feel nervous now, after so many Disney cruises. Also, there is no customs check on the Western itinerary like there is on the Eastern. She's a registered DCL guest, she won't have any trouble getting on and off the ship at any of the ports. However, I do understand her concerns, and I think it's great that you've ordered a passport for her. Is the timeframe for new passports only 10 days?? If so, that's good. When I sent my renewal in this past spring, it took the full 6 weeks for me to get my new passport back, as posted on the government site. Or, did you pay extra for expedition?? Also, since she's your adopted daughter, doesn't she have a US birth certificate? Sorry to ask so many questions, I'm just curious But no matter the answer to these questions, I totally understand that you and Hazel would want her to feel as comfortable as possible while traveling out of the country In your shoes, I'd do the same thing In fact, we did get passports for our boys before we cruised in 2004, it just gave us an extra measure of peace of mind.

No, this is our first western cruise, all the others were eastern. We had to pay an extra sixty dollars to have the passport expidited.

Yes, Angelina does have a U.S. Birth Certificate and a Proof of Citizenship paper, but I think she was just getting nervous about going into Mexico without having a U.S. Passport. I have a feeling some of her friends have been asking her questions about getting stuck in Mexico, so if this relieves any tensions, it is well worth the price.

We were going to get her a passport before the May cruise, but kept putting it off, how I wish we had gotten the passport for her before that cruise!!!

We've had some serious thunderstorms this summer! Lucky you did not suffer any damage or need for clean up!

12? Man, I didn't expect to even be in the top half, but last? I've got to kick it into gear!!!!

I'm starting my first leg of packing this weekend. All non-clothing, non-perishable items will be assembled in the packing area.

Stan is resting comfortably at home after his surgery today. The doctor said the kidney stone was embedded and he had to beat Stan up to get it broken up and removed. He installed a stint but will remove it in about a week and a half. They had a room for him but decided he could go home today if he behaved. Yea, right. He's been up and down the stairs twice already. Men!

Seriously, I am relieved that it went well today and am pretty exhausted myself.

One surgery down, one to go.

First of all, I'm relieved to hear that the surgery went well! Secondly, tell Stan to get back in bed! LOL I'm glad that he feels well enough to be up and about but he needs his rest too!! Please tell him we're so happy to hear his surgery went well! And we can't wait to see you all in a month!

Now you go take care of yourself too, Darlene. I know it's often rougher for the family than it is for the patient!

So happy to hear that Stan didn't have to stay in the hospital and was able to come home. I'm sure that makes you feel better as well, as long as he does what he IS supposed too. Yea right, been there, done that myself!!!

Just try your best not to get run down either, it's only a few short more weeks to go until the cruise!!!
