Hey Mare,
We have decided to do Cozumel Beach Break instead of Fury Catamaran. I am not sure how the baby would react on the Catamaran. She is a chicken and would not be able to snorkel. I would love the Catamaran and snorkelling, that is alot of fun. I have to see about booking the Beach Break.

Our family is doing the cozumel beach break too, along with our friends from new york. See you there!

I think I will just do shopping in Costa Maya, not a "real" excursion of sorts. What is everyone doing in Cosya Maya? I heard a rumor that the ship does not pull right into the port there and you have to take a smaller boat to shore?? Does anybody know about this at all?? I hope I am wrong.

I think I will just do shopping in Costa Maya, not a "real" excursion of sorts. What is everyone doing in Cosya Maya? I heard a rumor that the ship does not pull right into the port there and you have to take a smaller boat to shore?? Does anybody know about this at all?? I hope I am wrong.

The ship pulls right up to the dock at Costa Maya. Here's a picture I took from the free tram (the tram takes you right from the ship to the end of the pier where the shops are), when we were there in 2004:

Johna - Although I will miss you on the catamaran the beach blast is supposed to be great. Ronnie did it in 2004 and they enjoyed it alot. Susan, who's family is also going on that excursion joined us at brunch last month. Her and her daughter Melissa are great folks! Also Terry is correct, no tender in Costa Maya. I'm also not doing any excursions there, just shopping in the little village and maybe swimming in the village pool.

Thanks for the info about Costa Maya....I am so relieved that I am wrong, whew! I thought they were recovering from hurricane damage from 2004 or 2005. Someone told me that. It's not Cozumel, is it? Both ports the ship pulls right in? Sorry to ask so many questions

Regarding the Fury Catamaran Snorkel beach party -

Can someone tell me what happened that people are not happy with it???

I have read on some recent posts that the Cat snorkel is hundreds of people in the water - not allowed to spread out and roam - therefore a lot of kicking and pushing happens. I really want to have a relaxed, uncrowded snorkel trip.

Karen, I think you asked about the Fury Cat trip: here's a thread , but wish more folks had posted. I don't care if the water is deep, but I have heard from many that there's not many fish (nor are there many at CC either - snorkeling there is a bit disappointing, save for the underwater "treasures".). If you've never snorkeled, you might not notice/care.

Still, sailing on the Catamaran could be fun. But not if there are "400 people" all snorkeling in the same area, as I recently read. I was hoping for more varied opinions in that recent thread I posted.

I'm starting to stress a little about the Cat, if only b/c I don't have the time/energy to research alternatives right now.


OK, Tina: Rooms 6064, 6066! I keep meaning to have my Passporter ready, so I can see where everyone's rooms are in relation to my area! sigh, but thats ALL the way upstairs right now...
