Wait a second Andy, are you saying you did YOUR clothes FOR Hazel? I've got to talk with this woman. :p

No lawn mowing this weekend, during the thunderstorms last night a large branch off the neighbor's tree fell on my van and is now blocking the garage doors. Very little damage to the garage, and none to the van but it looks awfully funny.

I also found out this week my brother had a baby boy. I'm an aunt now for the first time! YAY! Guess we'll be doing some baby Disney shopping in a couple of weeks. :goodvibes

Jen: We were posting at the same time. :rotfl2: Finally I am in the running for a post count. :cheer2: Let's hear it for 8800 around the corner............ :thumbsup2

Robin Marie : Congrats on becoming an Aunt ! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: Chuck did the lawn mowing early this morning and got that out of the way before the hot sun came our way. :sunny:

It's going to be in the upper 90s today in Chicago and we'll be hitting 100 by Monday. YUCK! Somehow sand, surf, and chilled adult bevearges make this sort of heat more enticing. We're going to a luau today for some friends' anniversary. They do it every five years and it's a wonderful party. I think we had rain last time -- this time we'll melt!

I did everybody's clothes, Hazel's, Angelina's and mine.

Congrats there auntie!!! I bet your brother is going down in the record books for giving birth, LOL!!! Sorry, I just couldn't resist that one, forgive me!!!

I'm glad to hear there was no damage to your van. The big oak tree in our back yard was hit by lightning a few years ago, when I went outside to check it, there was a big old branch just hanging there over our pool. Luckily is didn't fall and the tree surgeon came and removed it. If it fell, our pool would have been destroyed.

Ooooh! I've never hit a big number before!
:cool1:
Moira: We honeymooned in England, Ireland, & Scotland. It was early July and everyone kept apologizing for the cool and the damp and the rain. We had left a month long 90+ degree heat wave and drought, so we loved every minute of it. I think some of the locals thought we were daft. :)

Andy: Does Hazel rent you out on weekends?

:goodvibes

Good afternoon all

I was just reading the posts and noticed that many of you have gotten passports for this cruise. We dont have passports and didn't think we needed them. Sure we appreciate your input on this one.

Bob

I know this was answered but we had a different reason for getting our daughter a passport. Our daughter was born in Mexico and we adopted her when she was seven months old. In May, we didn't have her "Proof of Citizenship" paper with us at the DCL Terminal, and if it wasn't for a dear family friend back home, we would have not been able to board the ship. For some reason, the "Proof of Citizenship" paper was not asked for the first two times our daughter cruised with us, so we didn't think anything of it when we didn't bring it with us in May. I didn't want to carry such an important document with us, so that's why we decided to get our DD a passport before this cruise. My wife and I got our passports when we started the adoption process in 1990 and just renewed them before the 15 year time period expired, otherwise, we would have had to have started over getting new passports as well.

Hi Bob,
Nope, you don't passports in 2006! You will, however, need your birth certificates. ::yes::

And don't forget, photo ID for anyone 18 and over.

Andy: Nice t-shirt. I got Mike a POC t-shirt too because he is not going to wear a pirate costume. It is not as cool as yours though! ;)

I was finally going to sleep when a lot of you were waking up! My DS had a restless night so that means I had one too!

3 weeks & I can't wait! Got a lot of homework to do between now & then so I best get busy!

Take Care!
Diane

I need mine, but thats only as a non res, they take ours into custody. Hopfully next year mine will be less of a formality still need it but in Europe we have freedom to go anywhere the DM will be going.

Hi Fellow Cruisers-

I should be taking a nap, as I will be working til the wee hours of the AM. I applied for a passport only because this is the first time I am traveling out of the country, so to speak, and the others in my family already have one, so I thought it might be a good idea. Doreen and Karen explained that a birth certificate w/b enough, but what the hey? Now I have one and hope to be able to use it elsewhere.

Cannot believe in 3 weeks I will be on a ship, and have 2 Saturdays in a row off from work!!!! :Pinkbounc party: That is all the vaca I need.

My tickets arrived by UPS yesterday!!!! :cool1:

I am soooo ready for this vacation. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Can't wait to see y'all!

Happy Saturday all,

Way to go on the 8800,

Yep no passport needed for US citzens this time, but as of Dec 2006 we will need them too.

I know where your comming from Andy, I do all the cooking and food shopping here. Also last weekend went on a $800.00 clothes shopping spee from Beth and I.(More her than me ) :rotfl: Yep all out of my pocket.

Hi Everyone!

We received our docs yesterday too!! (Well we rec'd the John's docs, not mine and Taryn's). We had to cancel our cruise meeting with our cruise "wards" last night because Taryn came down with the stomach virus.

Hi Bob welcome to the DIS and the Cruisin' Castaways.

I called my brother today since he's the only one in our family not cruising with us. Alas, his DW got a new job that starts 8/23 so they can't sail with us.

Johna - To my knowledge (which isn't saying much) I never heard of the ship running out of soda. After all they charge alot for soda at the bars so I'm sure they're well stocked! How was movie night? Sorry we couldn't make it! Are you flying or driving? I still need someone to take the other smoothie-maker (since Bob isn't willing to wear all of his clothes LOL)

Tonight, my ever-lovin' hubby is taking me to see Bon Jovi for our anniversary!! TERRY - IT'S BON JOVI your old classmate!!! My friends are coming at 4pm so we can tailgate at Giants Stadium. My teens got a huge kick out of that. Hey, we're old, not DEAD!

Talk to all of you after the show! Have a great Sat.!

Mary Rose

Thanks Ed!

Good News - I just hopped over to Thrifty and saved $25 on my rental van from Tampa to Cape Canaveral! The return from CC to Jacksonville is still at $60.99 though. I have to keep an eye on that rate. Andy, can John walk from Thrifty back to the Rad do you know? Or do the rental car companies run shuttles to the port? Or maybe he can grab a cab?

Thanks,
Mary Rose

Mary Rose--I'm not sure as I don't remember where the Thrifty office is. I thought someone said it was across from Avis, if that is the case, then that is much too far to walk back to the Radisson. I know Budget and Avis have free shuttle service to and from the port, but I don't know if Thrifty offers the same.

Thanks Andy! I'll give them a call directly. Thanks for all the Budget info you've given me in the past too. I'm going to check with them too and see if they can beat the $39 minivan price. $39 is a good one though.
