Just got back from Disney late last night! I arrived home with a miserable cold as a souvenier. I guess I can't complain because I lasted the whole week at DW without getting sick.

Tina: So sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you! Thank you so much for the note card w/ confetti! My kids loved opening that! And thanks for setting up the game of tag...it was a fun seeing that green Mickey head on our door! It was also great running into you on our excursions & saying hi!

Andy: Hope you fix your leak soon! Thanks for everything including the t-shirts, fish mail, magnets, postcards...I believe the list goes on and on! It was great seeing you & your family! I never did see Angelina except in pictures! Where were you hiding her??? LOL

Mary Rose: Thanks for starting this wonderful thread & allowing us all to meet. Thanks also for the glow sticks & magnet & pin! It was great meeting you & I wish we saw you more! Glad you got your luggage back!

Anna: Thanks so much for the Mickey ears & magnets! I loved having them on my door!

Leslie: It was wonderful to talk to you & your daughter is so sweet! Taylor is shy, as I'm sure you could tell so it was great the way your daughter opened right up to her.

Terry: Thanks for the leis...it was fun talking to you! We should do a NE meet some time!

Doreen: Thanks for the bubbles! My kids went nuts with them at the sailaway party! Loved the jewlery party...& the extra bit of excitement! LOL

Andrew: Cade loved running into your son, as I'm sure you noticed! He is not shy at all! Taylor was glad to have your daughter to talk to in the lab since she is the shy one & has trouble meeting new people. Both your children are wonderful kids!

Bev: It was great to see you again!!!

Chuck: Don't know if he reads this thread or not but thanks for setting up the pic, the visit, & the drinks!

Everyone else....It was great meeting many of you at the meet & running into you throughout the ship! I love the group picture...I just wish I grabbed my kids at the lab to be in it too!

I know I left some thanks out since we received so much, it was hard to keep up! It was wondeful cruise & a wondeful bunch of people!

Take Care everyone & may you travel again soon!!!
Diane

edited because I keep remembering things! LOL

She was only allowed out of the cabin a few minutes each day, LOL!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: I caught her flirting with a young man on one of the elevators on our way to dinner one evening, so I put her in lockdown, LOL!!! :teeth:

Hi Everyone!

GUESS WHO JUST CALLED????????

DCL!!

They found our bag! Seems like our luggage enjoyed the Magic so much, it took another ride!!!!

Happy ending! They'll ship it UPS ground. Thanks Laura at DCL!

JOHN'S SHOES ARE TO BE RETURNED! LOL!

Now don't you just wish we all could have stowed away like the bag??

Mary Rose

That is great news........we were so worried that another passenger accidentally took it.

Hey, don't think we haven't thought of ways to stay on the ship unnoticed.

Just to keep in the spirit of the cruise we ate at a Mexican restaurant tonight that has Mayan specialties. Not as good as the food we ate at the restaurants in Mexico but helped boost our spirits on this amazingly wet and dreary weekend.

Mary Rose: YAY! I'm so glad your luggage was found. How exciting that John's new shoes and John's new pants got to cruise twice!! :teeth:

I *finally* got the rest of my pictures up on the web site. I'm not sure that I like having them all on 1 page, so I may change the format eventually. It's close to 200 pictures and I think that with a slow connection, some people may have trouble viewing them. :scratchin

I want to give another huge THANK YOU! to all of you who made this a truly special vacation for my family and myself. :grouphug:

Regarding future meets: I'm up for a New England meet and/or NY/NJ/PA meet ANY TIME!!! :grouphug:

BEV - How is Lindsey's foot?? Sandy's cast is off and the arm looks pretty good. A little thin and blotchy but good. Please tell me that Lindsey's cast is waterproof. The waterproofing saved our vacation.

ED - Welcome home.

MARY ROSE - Welcome home to the luggage. Yes, I wish it had been us left behind for another week on the Magic!

ANNA - Thanks again for your generosity. Have a great time in Hawaii and check in here from time to time.

Darlene

Mary Rose - glad your luggage was found and on the way home.

Darlene - I'm glad Sandy's cast is off. :thumbsup2 No, Lindsay's cast is not waterproof. They kept telling her to make sure that she doesn't get it wet. We go back to the doctor two days before we leave to see how she is doing and if she needs to still wear it, then I will ask for a waterproof one. I totally forgot they made waterproof ones.

Tina - take care of yourself. :grouphug:

Ed - glad you made it home safely. :car:

Thank you everyone for your well wishes for Lindsay.

I still can't into this working mode. :sad2:

I'm curious - who all rebooked on DCL for the August 2008 cruise?? :woohoo:

Thank you just back this morning, prompt flight back and with a lot of strong winds from USA to UK ( no jokes the weather!) the flight was just 7hr35min.

Stephen is 8 today, had a party at Chef Mickeys Saturday morning, and a cake on the flight where the flight attendants all came around to sing him happy birthday
Stephen Was looking for CADE all around WDW last week, and was dissappointed not to have bumped into him, but in the WDW four parks etc thats not a surprise.

On the way back he said a number of times he wants to E.mail.

CT TIGGER, thanks for putting up with us on the dinner table, and I hope the bathroom had gone well. Alice will have to go to our Doctor Monday as the Ear infection from the Disney Magic hasnt cleared up. So couldnt swim at the Polynesian

Verandah Man Thank you for your reguards through the server, hope he returned them, dissapointed we didnt meet you,MARK seemed to bump into you everywhere thank you for our chats.

One big dissapointment looking through my E.mails there was one from (another Travel agent) posted from this cruise, it mentions having dinner with Captain Tom, and they both agreed they do not care much about LONDON, ?????
Glad I booked my cruises and the next one through DREAMS, I will speak to Captain Tom if he's on the Med cruise next year and invite him for a tour!

Verandah Man Thank you for your reguards through the server, hope he returned them, dissapointed we didnt meet you, MARK seemed to bump into you everywhere thank you for our chats.

Welcome Home Andrew!!! :goodvibes

Yes, Prageeth did send your regards, thanks!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, Mark and I were always running into one another somewhere on the ship, LOL!!! :rotfl:

Andrew: Welcome back, I'm glad you made it home safely. :) I'm sorry we didn't get the chance to meet.

Bev: We rebooked onboard for our February 2007 4-night Wonder cruise and will be rebooking on that cruise for August 2008. :sunny: We're looking at the August 16th and August 23rd sailings and will decide once the dates/rates/itineraries come out.

Andy: I'd like to send you an email but I'm not sure which is your most current email address. I have a couple of them in my address book. Can you please send me a PM or email, and then once I have your current email, I'll delete the others. Thanks! :teeth:

Terry, e-mail address is on the way!!! :goodvibes

Good morning everyone,

I woke up to a beautiful :sunny: day in Philly today instead of the rain we were having.

My nephew was asking me to get him prices for the Wonder for May 07 and a 2 day stay afterwards at the Contemporary to celebrate his daughter's first birthday. I feel that as his TA and aunt, that my family should escort them for the week to make sure everything runs smoothly. :rotfl2: Don't you all agree.? I might have to force myself back on a Disney cruise (Yea right) but it would be their first Disney Cruise. We've all been talking about booking a 4 night cruise and one week in Disney in 2010 (before the baby was even born). So that means I will have done a Disney Cruise every year since 04 (except for 09) thru 2010.

Hope everyone is doing well and back safely from their vacations.

Have a sunny day.

Bev :sunny:

We booked a fake date in '07 to get the onboard credit which will be moved to either 08/16/08 or 08/23/08 when the dates open up. I also amended my Inventory Control request for the same dates.

We rebooked too, but I will need to only go on the 8/16/08 whatever the itinerary. Unless I change jobs by then that is. You see I work in HR/Payroll and can only vacation every other week, the non-payroll processsing week.

Bev - Thanks for the RCCL info. After much soul-searching though (even though it's a week I can travel) I just can't cut a trip too close to Taryn with College and John with HS orientation. Thanks for the info though!

So it looks like I have to travel with a return date before 8/15 in order to feel comfortable. So either I book RCCL or Carnival up here for next summer or I DO B-T-B Wonder cruises with DIS friends (and maybe sisters?) next summer!! I'm willing to keep my options open for now!!!

Mary Rose

Beautiful sunny skies here in NJ after some really heavy rain yesterday.

We discovered a bat made its home inside our deck umbrella while we were away. I tried opening the umbrella to dry it out and saw a small sleeping bat on the inside.

We fully opened the umbrella and after about a half an hour the bat woke up and flew off. Much to the disappointment of my cats who were watching under the table.

After discussing it with DH, we have decided we will consider cruising on August 23, 2008 as well as on the 16th. DH really prefers doing a western as opposed to an eastern.

So we're open to either the 16th or the 23rd.

Thought I'd start a list of who is considering cruising in 2008, and when :)

August 16th, 2008

Mary Rose
SeaSpray (or 23rd)
Buddy Bear (or 23rd)
Ski-and-Sea (or 23rd)

August 23rd, 2008

SeaSpray (or 16th)
Buddy Bear (or 16th)
Ski-and-Sea (or 16th)

Post here with your dates, if you want me to add you to the list. :sunny: If there's a different date in 2008 that you're considering, post that too and I'll create another list for that date.

Terry--right now we are leaning towards the 8/23/08 sailing, but would also consider the 8/16/08 date as a back up. Will know more after the dates/cost are announced.

Good Afternoon

Well, another gray and gloomy day is CNY. (Just like Eeyore) The husband wants to go to the NY State Fair today. All the food, what do I eat? :rotfl: It's a good thing my office is starting a WW program on Tuesday.

Terry, thank you for sharing your photos, they are great!

Mary Rose, I am so glad your luggage made it home. I wish I was as intelligent as a piece of luggage to get a 2 weeker for the price of 1.

Shirley, thanks, that means alot.

I would love to sail again in 2008. That is my goal. Probably with my sisters. :dance3:

It did feel good to work at the restaurant last night, even though XOP couldn't make it, but Sean, the Toole Man, our Karaoke guy was right on target with his singing. We had some pretty good singers last night. If ever in Syracuse on a Saturday night, stop in. It is a good time. Skyline Grill.

Take care and everyone have a great Labor Day Weekend.

Elaine :cool1: :goodvibes :wave2:
