I have been off-line almost all weekend and I come back to find a post from MARY ROSE (AKA CARMEN VERANDAH)! So GREAT to hear you are well and still joining us on this much anticipated cruise. Hugs to the kids and John.

ANDY I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope all goes well with the surgery and it is successful. Please ask Angelina to give us a quick post.

ED Glad to hear that DD is feeling better.

BEV I think we will plan on staying at the Radisson. Last year was alot of fun and we may plan on getting there a FULL day early this time. The pool looks really cool and we didn't get a chance to use it last year.

TERRY Have fun at the convention. Yes, please, someone post the countdown for TERRY. I need it!

Darlene...I see something is going on with Stan, Sandy and your MIL...Hope all is getting better. It is very hard to keep up when you stop in every month or so. E mail or PM me. Are you going on the repo cruise? Is Ginny?

We also cancelled our cruise, we are going Costa Cruises during February break for way, way less than Disney. And after reading about the teens club and older kids club, my kids are excited. I need to try something new, my little one was never happy with DCL clubs and she hung with us which is OK with us, but I think we were too boring for her LOL

I'll stop by now and then to say Hi and keep in touch

Thinking of you this morn Andy - hope all goes well

Our suitcases are now laying out behind me in our Disney den

Went grocery shopping last night. It was odd shopping for both Dave's surgery and our vacation but I did it.
He has doc apt this morn at 11 to discuss his surgery, etc. I wish he was the type to come out and tell us everything. But he's a private person and until he's comfortable w/the info he only tells us bits and pieces.

This is my only full work wk this summer. Jon's on the Cape so may as well keep busy.

Hazel and I are getting ready to head to the hospital, we have one quick stop to make at the post office on the way out, then my next stop will be the operating room.

Barb, I know the feelling on the suitcases, ours is stacked under the ac in the bedroom waiting for the laudry to be done. We start packing tonight.

OMG! Dave just called after meeting with the doctor.
They will be taking his 11th rib also - Dave says thats common when taking out a kidney.
Theres a good chance Jon & I will be getting on that plane with him still in the hospital! Doc told Dave he should either be getting out Fri or Sat. I asked him again if he wants us to postpone WDW and again was told "I want you to go"
He needs more bloodwork done tomorrow morn, also a KUB (kidney, uretha, bladder) shot
Staples will be in 7-10 days, he should be able to drive 7-10 days.

OMG, your DH is having major cancer surgery and you are leaving him to go to on vacation?

Better look into your cancellation policy if you have to fly back home in the middle of your vacation -- I pray your dh doesn't suffer any complications from his surgery, but you never know.

Did anyone hear anything about Andy yet? Hope his surgery goes well.

Barb - hope things work out with Dave's surgery.

My mom came home from the hospital yesterday. A new medication that the doctor prescribed was wrong/didn't agree with her and caused her to pass out.

Sue - congrats on getting your tickets.

Tina - we need more clues as to what you look like.

Darlene - how is Stan, Sandy and you doing?

This is a CRUISE THREAD. PERIOD. Intended for the people who will be sailing on the August 19th, 2006 sailing of the Disney Magic. We try hard to maintain a friendly atmosphere here.

If you don't like Barb (newholiday), or what she says on other threads, or what she does or doesn't do, then that is your problem. Send her PMs if you feel the need. Please do not bring it here. We're not interested and we all think it makes YOU look bad, *not* Barb.

I *DO* remember the many threads from when her first cruise was cancelled. I remember it all, because I was reading a lot on the cruise boards at the time, while planning our first Disney cruise. I actually felt bad for Barb because she is a very open person and shares a lot of her personal life with the people of this message board, for better or worse. I did not even know her at the time, or knew that one day we'd be booked for the same cruise, but I remember thinking that I wanted to send her a PM to tell her that a lot of people on the internet have big nasty mouths and say things that they'd be too embarrassed to say in person. I really hated seeing Barb getting attacked back then, and even more so now, since getting to know her a bit more.

You know, this entire issue of her husband's surgery is between herself and her husband. It is quite clear that HE wants Barb and their son to go on their vacation. It may or may not be what other couples would decide but it's between THEM. NOT you. Her husband is a big boy. If he wants his wife and son to not cancel their trip, then that is his wish.

Barb's only "crime" here is that she shares too much with the "general public" of these message boards. But that is her choice to do so.

And it is your choice to post on the threads OUT THERE.

But again, PLEASE do not bring it in here. We're not interested, and we think you (plural) look very catty and nasty in the process.
