Thanks for the countdown Terry...70 weeks, it's getting closer!!!

It sure is a chilly start to the day here in South Jersey. I just came home to get my heavier coat to wear BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! This time next Friday, I'll be relaxing in Florida where I know it will be warmer. Only problem though, my mom and I will probably start back for the drive north on Saturday, what a bummer!!!

Have a safe trip, Andy :moped: And enjoy as much of the Florida weather as you can! :sunny:

Hey gang - How's it goin'?

Terry - I'm so glad that you'll be able to sail with us again. It just wouldn't be the same without you. I understand perfectly about the money stuff. Somehow, my car always knows when I get my mechanic paid off. (It's times like that, that I know God has a sense of humor and he's :rotfl2: at me!)

Andy - Enjoy Florida. :sunny: I'm glad that your car was the only one hurt!

Mary - Glad that you've finally found out what was making Bryan sick. I can only imagine what you've gone through. Fortunately, Devin has always been extremely healthy. Nothing worse than a bad cold and a couple of ear infections in his entire life. I'm not sure how well I would handle it if he got really sick.

Darlene - I'm glad that Stan is handling chemo so well. I remember when my best friend was on chemo - some days were good, but others weren't. Tell Sandy congratulations for me. I'll keep your son in my thoughts and prayers. Even though he wasn't very good in school, it's amazing how well they can apply themselves when it's something that they really want. (I have a few family members and friends that have proven it to me.)

Sue - Sounds like it's time to stock up on earplugs and Tylenol! You may even want to buy stock in the company. :teeth: Give Vicky my congratulations.

Everyone Else - Hope that things are going well. :goodvibes :grouphug:

I was up until about midnight last night building furniture (gotta love Ikea), but at least my office is about 90% complete now. YEA! Now all I have to do is get my high-speed internet connection and I'll be all set to go!

I'm anxiously awaiting my income tax return, so I can finish paying off this cruise (and my property taxes). I hope that it will get here soon. I still have airfare to deal with for this trip, but I'm figuring that it will come out of next years tax return.

Well, I guess that I better go. I've got all of my weekend 'domestic crud' to deal with yet (dishes, laundry, paying bills, etc).

Dori :cool1:

Have fun doing your "domestic crud" Dori!!!

Hazel and Angelina are getting ready to take me out for my birthday dinner. Since my birthday is during the middle of the week, we thought tonight would be better to celebrate. Not sure where we are going to wind up, my top three choices are Applebees, Olive Garden and The Lone Star. It's my choice, so I told the girls wherever the car stops, that's where we are dining. I sure hope the car doesn't break down in front of McDonald's or Burger King, but stranger things have happened to me, LOL!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Oh Andy, you are too funny!! :rotfl:

Dori, I am thankful to have finally figured out what was up with poor Bry. Now that we look back there were so lmany symptoms and they go back a good 7-8 weeks. :guilty: I did notice he did not seem as tired this morning as in the past so hopefullly he is on the up swing.

:cloud9: What a gorgeous day here!! Not sure how high it got but know it was in the 60's!! :sunny:

Have a great weekend all. And April vacation for those that are on it this week!

Just got word that our Norwegian Dawn cruise out of NY for tomorrow is postponed! The Dawn hit severe weather off Cape Hatteras last night & a rogue wave broke 2 cabin windows. At least 4 people were injured & 62 cabins were flooded. I understand that people are camped out in the Atruim. I'm just glad nobody was severly injured! They went to Charleston for repairs & should then be heading to NY tomorrow. NCL is saying we will leave Monday at the earliest. Lots of buzz on the cruise critic boards!

Diane

WOW Diane, I'm glad you weren't on the ship when that happened. I wish you nothing but calm seas and bright sunny skies!!!

We just returned from Applebees, where I started off my birthday dinner with a Bahama Mama, follwed by a stack of ribits and some buttermilk battered fried shrimp, with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed steamed veggies. We are leaving the cake and ice cream for after dinner on Wednesday evening at home. I feel as though I could pop right about now, LOL!!! Time to put on the old comfy sweatpants!!!

Later All

New Holiday got me thinking.... it is such a long time until the cruise anyone else have trips between now and then???

I am almost embarassed to say all that we have going on..... lol

I have a girls trip to Miami next month, then as a family we are going to Disneys HHI resort in June, a 3day DCL cruise in September, girls cruise in Oct (Carnival 4 day), a family trip (with friends) to the BWV in December, Spring Break 2006 at BCV, then the August 2006 Cruise.

I would also love to squeek in a trip to Disneyland this August, but not sure if DH would go for it.... Maybe a quicky trip for my oldest two and I.....

Andy thanks for your well wishes. That dinner sounds yummy! You are making me hungry! Happy 50th!!!

Dori: Glad your home office is almost complete! What color did you paint it? Any kind of decor "theme"? :) We got a lot of "domestic crud" done today too. Although, after the winter we had, it feels SOOO good to be outside on the weekends doing work around the yard. :sunny: We finished building the small retaining wall in the backyard, and then we began setting down the decorative bricks around my existing flower beds which run all the way around 3 sides of the house (front and both sides). We also plan on putting in a patio area in the back. And a new roof....and new fence around the back, etc. lol

Andy: I'm glad you enjoyed your meal and that your car didn't stop in front of McDonald's. :earboy2:

allshookup: I'm glad your DS is feeling a bit better. My DS17 was sick 2 weeks ago and his doctor mentioned mono to me because he said it's going around right now. I hope your DS continues to feel better with each day.

Diane: Wow, I can't believe that about the Norwegian Dawn!!! I hope they get the ship all fixed so you can get going on your cruise. I hope those injured are doing ok!!

Laura: You've got a lot of great vacation plans!! :sunny: We have our Disney World trip this July, and then I spend a lot of time at the New Jersey shore in the summer. No other big plans, other than those, and the cruise in 2006 :boat:

Ed: I think you're right! I bet a lot of us were out enjoying the great weather today :sunny:

We spent most of the day inside... my BIL's had a birthday party... One was turning 50 and the other turned 40. Lots of family and friends so we didnt miss not being outside.

Kids had a blast and I think they are still on a sugar high... My oldest said since it was two birthdays wrapped into one... they should have TWO peice of cake.... who can argue with that logic! :rotfl2:

Terry.... spending a lot of time on the Jesry Shore sounds wonderful.

Andy the dinner sounded great. Yummmmm

Diane, I hope your cruise works out, smooth sailing all the way.

Dori, Glad your home office is taking shape.

Dori , Terry I know what you mean, seems like when I start to get ahead something happens to eat up the money.

Today I had to hired a contractor to fix our steps and breezeway.
The last couple of winters have not been kind. :sad2: This house was built in 1946 and the concreate steps and breezeway have begun to break down. :earseek:

HI EVERYONE!

Sandy & I spent yesterday at a Girl Scout Day and had a good time. It was a little chilly to be outside all day but she earned a badge and did some neat crafts. Radio Disney was a huge disappointment. Won't go out of my way to see them again. Hugely unorganized and overrated.

Dori, thanks for thinking of DS#3 and his college class. Guess what? He earned a 93.5 on his test on Friday!! 6 chapters of material, including the human anatomy! I am so proud and happy for him. He did it all on his own, his beautiful wife was in FL looking for a house and interviewing for a job. I asked him how he decided to study and he said he just kept doing all the Practice Tests until he could get them right without looking at the book. Whatever works! He had a wonderful elementary school teacher who told me that he would be very successful once he was out of the traditional school system. And now he is a successful Marine, a successful husband, and looks like he will be a successful college student and move on to be a successful Paramedic.

Laura, sounds like you enjoy traveling as much as I do. We have a trip to VA for a friend's son's college graduation in May. A few day trips after that until school is out. Then in July Sandra and I will be in Cape May for a week. We will be in CA at DL in August and then board the Magic for a 2 week cruise through the Panama Canal to FL. Then we will spend Labor Day weekend at BCV. By then I will be out of vacation days until Jan but will take weekend or day trips. Girl Scout camping will be in Oct.

Gotta go, everyone else. Take care. Hope everything is going well.

Darlene

Hi All,

We are suffering from DCL withdraw and are considering on making a change to this summer's vacation plans. We are looking at the possibility of taking a 4 day cruise on the Wonder in August, and maybe still doing a couple days at WDW. I'm getting out my DVC Vacation Planner book and seeing what we can work out. Last night at dinner(family meeting time), Angelina said she would much rather take a 4 day cruise on the Wonder instead of spending 6 nights at WDW. I've got to get busy so Hazel can make a call to DVC on Monday.

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!! I just ask DH what he thought about me taking the girls to Disneyland this August and he said go for it with one request... I find someone to watch boy for a couple of hours here and there while we are gone.

Tickled PINK!! But also nervous. DD6 is tall enough to ride just about everything, but DD4 needs to grow another 1 or 2 to be able to get on Indy... LOL She is hovering at 40 1/2 inches barefooted....

ANd then there is the question of weather (not the right spelling for this version of weather, but I can never figure out the right spelling of it for this meaning... lol) or not I can handle the girls 24/7 on my own. DH and I are really a team. Does Disneyland offer kids clubs too???

I am sooo jazzed. As much as I love WDW... Disneyland was my first love. I have been to Disneyland well over 300 times in my childhood. I cant wait to take the girls ont he storybook boats and on the Materhorn. But I have been reading the DL boards and soooo much has changed there....

I CANT WAIT!!!!!

If all goes according to plan, we have selected the 4 day Wonder leaving August 14th, then will be spending 3 nights at WDW after the cruise. Hazel will be calling DVC MS after she drops the car off at the auto body shop on Monday. This will be our first time on the Wonder after three cruises on the Magic.
