Yea, I just love my every six month check-ups and cleanings at the dentist, NOT!!! :rotfl2:

Andy, you think going every six months is bad??? I go every three months since I had periodontal surgery (talk about unpleasant!!) about 6 years ago. In fact, I go on the 22nd.

Bev, I can honestly say I hate going to the dentist more than the gyn since I see the dentist 4x year and the gyn only 1x year :)

Hello my cruise buddies,

How are you all, well I hope. Had a very busy day today as I had to do a 250 mile round trip to visit one of our new stores in Coventry England, thankfully the roads were good today with not to much traffic about and the weather was very kind to me.

Had good news from Vicki's school today, she gained a distinction in Office Tech and recieved a certificate which will help her to get into college. She also became the lead drum player with the school band. Pass me those headache tablets now, as she has to practice at home even more now, seriously though I am thrilled to bits. Linda: Have sent you a pm, would love to see your photos.

Barb: So glad everything went ok at your sons school.

Hi to everybody else, got to dash,Desparate Housewives is about to start.

Sue

Oh Sue, my head is pounding even more looking at all those drums!!!

Way to go Vicki, but take it easy on your mum!!! :cool1:

Guess who's flying on Southwest again, and so soon???

Yes, it's me!!! But I'll be up at 12:01am next Thursday morning printing off my boarding pass!!! :rotfl:

I just got off their website and booked my flight for next Thursday night April 21st flying into Orlando. My mom wanted to pay for my ticket as a birthday gift from her, and since she had an $80.80 credit with Southwest, I said, "Why not, I'll give them another chance!!!"

My mom and I will be driving back to NJ and will probably leave Saturday morning to head back. I'm sure my mom wants to be here for my "Surprise 50th Birthday Party," that no one has told me about, that's why it is a surprise!!! :rotfl2: What would really be a surprise, is if I don't have a Surprise 50th Birthday Party, then I will be walking around with a lot of egg on my face!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Vicki, you go girl! :rockband:

Sue, I will be thinking of you :music:

Barb, I am glad things worked out for you :sunny:

OK, Dad is well on the mend now BUT DS 10 9 Bryan has been sick off and on for over a month now! Well finally broke down and took him the ER last night. Just knowing that they would say take him home and let him get some sleep and plenty of liquids blah, blah, blah... He has Mono! I feel like such a shmuck  for not going earlier!! Now we know and he is home until after April vacation.

On the other hand we are SO proud of DS 13 Kyle who got a Most Improved Award for Social Studies yesterday. It comes from the teacher who he says is the toughest on him! :cheer2:

Everyone have a great day!!

Mary :wizard:

Mary--sending plenty of :grouphug: your way. I know it isn't any fun having a little one being so sick.

Student of the Month for March 2005...

drum roll please (Vicki)....

Sandra!

We are so proud of her!

Mono isn't as easy to recognize as you may think. Don't feel bad. I did the same thing with my son (whose name is Brian!) when he was about 13. Now that Bryan is diagnosed you can take care of it. I remember feeling like such a "bad mom" because I hadn't diagnosed properly. I'll share with you what a doctor told me, "You are not the doctor, you're the mom and you are doing a good job."

Darlene

Bev: Stan is doing ok. He is experiencing some minor side effects: fatigue, loss of taste, etc. But overall he is ok. The man goes to work every morning and takes off the afternoons he has treatment. God bless him.

My son (#3) is doing well. Preparing to transition into civilian life. He started a Basic EMT course yesterday. He wants to be a Paramedic. School was never easy for him and I am so proud of him for doing this. Keep him in your prayers. And all the boys and girls still overseas.

My Grandmom is "old". At least that is the diagnosis from her physician. We've had lots of bad nights with her and my poor mom is so stressed. And all the doctor can say is she is "old". Well, she is 91.

Darlene

Darlene, thank you for picking me up. :goodvibes

Many congrats to Sandra! Way to go! :cloud9:

Thanks Andy for the :grouphug: . How are you feeling after you fender bender? Were you stiff the day after? Sounds like it was just a little bump though so hopefully you are fine.

All of you are just the best! Have a good one! :earsgirl:

Mary

Hi everyone :wave2:

Thanks to everyone who sent me PMs, emails, and phone calls. I truly appreciated the concern :grouphug:

For now, we are not going to cancel. I am sorry if I caused anyone to worry; in a nutshell, DH and I panicked when we realized that next summer DS17 would be graduating high school and starting college (we don't even know yet which college), our insurance payments for DH's medical expenses just went up to $500/month which we just found out that day, etc etc.

Like I said, it was just not a great day and a lot of things hit us at once, and we thought, for the moment anyway, that it'd be prudent for us to just cancel that cruise. But after talking and putting things into perspective, we realize that there's no reason to think we won't be able to do the cruise next summer. :)

Terry:

:cool1:  Thank goodness you made my day!

Sometimes I know that money issues just overwhelm me, but usually after I think it over, talk about it and get a good nights sleep they look different in the morning.

Lyn

VM.... Have fun!

Terry.... glad your holding off your decision... I was about to take it personally... since I just signed onto the cruise.... ;)

Lovely day here today. Wind is chilly, but the sun is out. RIght now I am running out all the gas in the snow blower.... I hope I am not tempting fate.

Home for lunch...Hazel just got back from taking the car to the auto body shop to get the parts ordered. Our car goes in Monday April 18th to get repaired. The insurance adjuster was out this morning to look the car over and gave us a check to get the car fixed and to have a rental car for two days. One little bump like that and the damage total was nearly $800.00, but like I said before, the important thing is that everyone was fine.

Way to go Sandra!!! :cool1: :cheer2:  Three cheers for you!!!

Even though you didn't officially leave us Terry, may I say, WELCOME BACK!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

O.K. people, it's time to eat my lunch!!! :wave2:

Terry, glad to hear that you're holding off on cancelling. Dh and I will be in the same boat as you and yours since our ds will be graduating that June as well. This whole college thing is so crazy. Nonetheless, dh will not consider not going on this cruise as this probably will be our last cruise as a family for a while.

Andy, I didn't say anything before but I'm glad no one was hurt except for your bumper :)

Darlene, give my congrats to Sandra :cheer2:

Terry,

Thats more than understandable. There never seems to be enough money to go around, or everytime I get a step ahead something else pops up.

It all works out in the end. Glad you decided to wait a while longer to decide.

Andy, That figure sounds about right. A few years a go someone clipped my left fender. I was lucky, her insurance agency took care of everything quickly.

Glad to hear they are takeing care of you.

Way to go Sandra, Vickey and Kyle. :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:

Terry - Im so glad you decided not to cancel
Ive also been considering not going through w/DCL. I mean there are lots of other cruiselines out there where we can get a verandah for less $. (We have until next June to pay in full or cancel. No decision needs to be made at this time.)

However, I cant get myself on a ship and not "know" anyone. DH is the kind that wants to sit on his verandah w/his book. Im the type that wants to get out and socialize (well at least to say hello) It will be nice to "know" some ppl before getting onboard ship.

I was recently debating whether or not to stick w/DCL. Im making an Aug itinerary and if we dont do DCL next summer we would be activating our APs earlier this Aug. I think Im going to wait. We would still get 11days from the APs in Aug - and waiting gives us more pool hopping time. What better time to take advantage of the DVC pool hopping priviledge than in Aug!

So are we back to making a MA/CT DISmeet? whatsup?

:sunny: :boat: 70 weeks to go!!!! :boat: :sunny:

Thanks for all of the nice comments, everyone! :grouphug:

Regarding the NJ meet for April: We've decided to hold off until the summer when hopefully more people could make it.

Regarding the MA/New England meet: I am open to any and all suggestions regarding dates and place :)

Thanks for the countdown Terry...70 weeks, it's getting closer!!!

It sure is a chilly start to the day here in South Jersey. I just came home to get my heavier coat to wear BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! This time next Friday, I'll be relaxing in Florida where I know it will be warmer. Only problem though, my mom and I will probably start back for the drive north on Saturday, what a bummer!!!
