Goodness! I go away for a week and have I don't know how many pages to catch up!

Andy, that looks like some nasty damage. I hope that Hazel will feel better in a couple of days. How is she doing?

Doreen, have a great trip out here! It's 90+ degrees for the next day or so, so be prepared! The humidity is making me wilt! What will I do in Mexico during August??

Hope everyone else is doing great. The excitement is building here with only nine weeks to go. We've watched the DCL DVD daily for the last few. The kids (and the grown up kids) can't wait!

Time to go back and catch up -

Denise (in Chicago)

Happy Anniversary to Ed and Beth.

Andy - hope your family is feeling better each day. Take care.

Terry - good luck with looking for a job

I can't believe only 9 weeks to go. :thumbsup2

I am so excited  I ordered 2 tickets to see my all time fav singer - Barbra Streisand when she starts her tour right here in Philly on 10/4. I've always wanted to see her. Tickets go up to $1800.00 per person. I bet it will sold out (even with those prices). I was able to get an advance purchase - tickets go on sale Monday.

Hope everyone has a fantastic and sunny :sunny: weekend.

Happy Anniversary Ed!!!! How very special for the both of you.

Hope Hazel is feeling better today Andy. I hope you are too.

I agree with Moira that it is so nice to hear such loving positive stories about everyone's children.

Moria, I would try to post picture of the things I made but I already sent them to Karen who also sent them to Doreen. BTW.........does your DD have a favorite color?

As for Father's Day plans, in our house we will be going to watch our DD play indoor soccer. This is also how we spent Mother's Day. Hmmmm, I see a pattern. I'm grateful she picked a sport we really enjoy watching. After her game, we will take her to residential soccer camp for the week. This is a little hard on me since she is my baby (even at 10). At least we will see her each night as they play games. She can't wait to go. I just wish it was going to be a little cooler than 90 °. Maybe my DS and I can take DH out to dinner after camp.

After spending the day at the pool with the kids, it is time for a shower.
Nite.

Since Hazel went away last weekend on a camping trip with her Missionettes group from church, Angelina and I used last weekend to celebrate Father's Day, which I'm glad we did in a way. After dropping Hazel off at the church, Friday evening, the two of us went to Friendly's for dinner. On Saturday, we went to see Robin Williams in "RV" then after the movie picked up a Steak Fajita Pizza at Papa Johns and brought it home. Sunday we just kind of chilled around the house until it was time to pick Hazel up around 3pm, then we stopped and got some sandwiches to bring home as Hazel was feeling tired from lack of sleep over the weekend. All in all, we had a nice weekend!!!

As I type this post on my laptop, my desktop and printer are hard at work printing out magnetic door signs, next I will be starting on the iron-on transfers!!! ;)

Good morning Andy and all.

No real plans here for Father's day that I am aware of.

I suspect I will get the traditional handmade card from my dd.

Normally Father's day in this household is just another day, as it is just as we say another Hallmark holiday

Most likely I will do some food shopping for the week.

Ed

All the printing is done, now it's time to starting trimming the transfers, then the ironing begins, LOL!!!

Good morning everyone :sunny:

Ed: HAPPY 17th ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND YOUR BRIDE!! :bride: :groom: :congratulations:

I would like to send out a big HUG to a special person, I hope they know who they are. I'm so glad we talked last night!

Also, not to be too cryptic again, but my DS15 Robby and I going to a "very-mini-DIS-pre-cruise-meet" today for lunch! I will see how the other mom feels about posting pictures of her kids online, but if she's ok with it, I'll post some pictures later today. :3dglasses Then again, with teen boys, they might not want their pictures taken and posted! LOL Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting this DISer and her teen boys :goodvibes

I hope everyone has a great weekend! :grouphug:

Wanted to wish all the dads out there a very Happy Father's Day  .

We don't do anything for father's day here (my dad passed away 25 years ago and my children's father passed away 5 years ago.) DS Harley drove to NC with his GF to spend the week with her and her family on vacation. At least now, there's a father figure in his life. It's so hard to learn to let go (I was nervous letting Harley (20 years old) drive from Philly to NC but I guess I have to let go. He's not a child anymore - he's a young man.

HAVE A GREAT FATHER'S DAY.

Bev

Hi Everyone  It has been very hot down here in Williamsburg, VA the past couple of days. I guess this is a good preparation for the cruise.

Andy - I am sorry to hear about Hazel. I hope she is doing better every day.

Ed - Happy Anniversary to you and your bride!

I would like to wish a "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY" to all the fathers out there. Enjoy your day tomorrow!! :yay:

Also to all the new graduates : "CONGRATS"

I can't believe we only have 9 more weeks to " The Magic" :grouphug:

Ed and Andy I think it is very kind of you to make all the magnets and t-shirts, I will be sending you my order via PM.

I understand that Doreen has a brand new smoothie maker :cheer2:

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Once again I hope everyone has a great weekend

Hi Everyone

I wanted to ask: Is anyone going to WDW after we disembark from the ship? I am going to the Pop Century for the week and I was wondering if anyone was extending the "MAGIC" and also how are you getting there. I was told that I would have to go back to the airport and then take a "Magical Gatherings" bus to the hotel. Does anyone know? Thanks!!

We are doing WDW for 4 days before the cruise, then after we are driving back to CT VIA a 2 day stay in Gaitlinberg, at a cabin.

Then home via blue ridge parkway and I81 , i84, rt7 lol

We are staying at the Caribbean beach for 3 days after and then driving home; we normally fly but this year we are taking my FIL's Ford Econoline Customized Van. He bought it last year with many ameinities including a 20' TV with remote control DVD, 4 captains chairs and a bed; we will have plenty of Disney movies to watch on the way down.

You have many types of transporation available to you from port including limo, towncar, van service, rental just about anything you can think of. The Magical Express is a service that takes you from airport to WDW resort, but there are DCL buses that will take you back to a resort.

We will be spending the week after the cruise at Coronado Springs. 2 Weeks of Magic! Yippee!

Congratulations Marla!!!

Happy Father's Day, all you DisDads!!1

We plan on getting to Fla a day early to visit Blizzard Beach, but then have to rush home right after the Magic b/c DS starts a new school that Monday! He is missing his orientation at the school while we are onboard :guilty: - hate to have him start out that way, but didn't know 2 years ago when we booked that he'd be attending a new school that starts before Labor Day!

Beautiful weekend here in VA! Hope you all are enjoying the same!! :sunny: :cloud9:
