This brother doesnt have health insurance so hasnt been to a doctor in quite a few yrs.
Spoke to my mother again yesterday and she said he's refusing to go for help.
He doesnt have a full time job to loose, doesnt have his own family to loose, doesnt have a house to loose - Im afraid of what it will take him to get help!

Hi Guys,

I took a vacation day today, we have a "BEAUTIFUL" :sunny: day here today weather wise, but that's not the reason for the day off. Angelina has her last half day of school today for this school year, when she gets home we have to take her to get some blood work done. Hazel had Angelina at the doc yesterday afternoon and he ordered this blood work to be done. The doc said Angelina did have slightly swollen glands, but he wants the blood work to rule out any chance of Mono. Angelina told the doc that several kids in the high school have been getting tested for Mono, so I guess, an ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure. I don't think it is this serious, but we don't want to take any chances either!!!

Andy

Is Mono what we call Glandular Fever over here, or something completly different??

Sue

Yes Thats it Andy

We know it as Glandular Fever.

Fingers crossed for the tests :wizard:

Doreen: I'm glad that Marty is able to get around with a cane. Tell him we're sending our best wishes for a good recovery :sunny: I don't have any advice regarding a new washer except to say that I LOVE our new washer and dryer :) I recommend them, if that's the type you want :)

Diane: What's happened regarding jury duty and your trip? Are you able to postpone it?? I sure hope so!!!!!

Sue: Hi! :wave2: Congrats on paying off your August trip. That's got to be a great feeling. :teeth: I hope you and Vicki have a wonderful time. Wish I was going to be there at the same time, I'd love to meet those of you who are meeting up!

Andy: I hope Angelina doesn't have mono. Twice this past spring the doctor thought Craig might have mono because of his symptoms, and also because mono was going around the schools up here, but he ended up not having it. They didn't do blood work, they just told me that if he didn't feel better within a week, to bring him back, and then at that point they'd do blood work. He was very glad he felt better; he HATES the idea of having blood tests done. lol

Have a great weekend, everyone! :sunny:

Angelina just walked in the door from school, we are off to the lab to get this blood work done. Hazel is staying home, she's afraid she might :faint: watching Angelina having the needle stuck in her arm.

That was quick and painless, we walked into the lab office at 12:40 and walked out at 12:45. Of course, we could have got done sooner if Hazel didn't send us to the wrong lab, LOL!!! Luckily, the lab we were supposed to go to, was only a few miles from where we first went, thank goodness for cell phones!!!

Terry: He is going to call the courthouse on Monday & see if he can plead his case. I will let you know how it goes. If worse comes to worse...he will just have to leave a day earlier than me & the kids. Thanks for the well wishes!

Doreen: I'm glad too that Marty is getting out & about. Congrats to Jaclyn for getting an A!

Bev: Hope all went well with you today. Thinking of you!

Andy: Hope the results are negative. I had Mono once...not fun!

We got an offer on our land in Florida & I'm soooo excited! We still plan to move there in 2007 but not where we bought the land. We made such a great profit that we are going to be able to fix this place up & hopefully sell it for a good price. yippee! The only thing that scares me is that Florida real estate is going through the roof & I hope we can still afford something when we do move. :confused3

Hope everyone else is doing well!
Diane
