Terry - sorry to hear about the accident. I did see the truck and spoke to Craig about it when we were leaving. It's a shame. I hope Craig and John feel okay and not sore tomorrow.

A couple of hours after we arrived home, my mom told me she was not feeling well so I took her to the E.R. Luckily, after 4 hours, blood work, etc etc. they released her on medication and a recommendation to see another doctor. I'm a little tired.

I had a really good time this weekend. My problem is not that I'm saying the cruise is next month, I mentally think 4 weeks.

Hope everyone stays safe this holiday.

Bev

I see I'm not the only one still up this late, LOL!!! :lmao:

I took a two hour nap earlier this evening while we were having some severe thunderstorms go through the area. I had turned the computer and TV off, then laid down on the couch to watch the lightning, the next thing I knew it was 9:30. I went back to bed about 11:00, but couldn't fall alseep, so I thought I'd come back out into the living room and try to make myself tired again, I don't think it is working!!! :rotfl2:

Hazel is still up reading. At least I do have off tomorrow from work, and we don't have to pick Angelina up from my sister's :moped: until around noon.

Well, let me go and check some more messages. :wave2:

Have a Happy and Safe Holiday!!!

Good morning.. YIPPEEE almost the 4th of JULY :beach: .. Just in time to get back to MARY ROSE and JOHN'S for the big BBQ..lol

Nice and sunny here for a change.. :sunny: (thanks TINA)..
I am so excited.. I got another recruit for LS.. I am telling you if you want to make $$$ call me.. and have fun at a job..and look glamerous while doing it and your DH or significant others will love not spending money on jewls anymore..lol JOANNA.. told you to join my team... Terry when Are we taking a road trip to BOSTON??

I do hope the guys are feeling less stiff today.. whip lash is a scarry feeling cause with a rear end collision you stiffen right up and the endorphines go right to that site.. a few hrs later you relax and then the pain sets in... normally motrin or something like a muscle relaxer will do the trick... but you never know with the amt of damage that was done..

Bev how is your mom doing today?? will she be ok on the SHIP??be sure to bring all her meds with you .... :grouphug:

Off to clean up the yard after the BIG storm again..So many trees are down here.. We had some bad rain in SCRANTON..the car tarp blew over again....Its up during the nice weather.. and blows over in the rain.. :confused3

Have a great day...
DOREEN

It was so nice to meet everyone at the brunch yesterday, but was sorry to hear about your son Craigs accident Terry, hope he is ok. The kids at the brunch got along great and think they are going to be having alot of fun at the teen club. Everyone was so friendly, this is going to be a great cruise!
Susan

Good morning, everyone :sunny:

Craig stayed up late last night so I'm not sure how he's feeling today, but John said he's feeling pretty good right now. Just a little sore, he said, but much better than he felt last night. I guess a good night's sleep on our king sized bed did him some good. We LOVE our bed, bought it just over a year ago :cloud9:

Bev & Doreen: I didn't realize that you had planned to do a Lia Sophia party during the brunch. Bev, no wonder you kept mentioning the word "party", I didn't make the connection at all, and I thought you just meant party in a general sense. I had a lot on my mind this weekend, I'm sorry! I've finally gotten around to looking at the Lia Sophia brochure, and I have to tell you that I can count on 1 hand how many times I've worn "costume" jewelry during this past year, but I absolutely LOVE what I'm seeing on those pages!! I already have 2 items picked out, including the gold version of the earrings Doreen was wearing (yes I finally found them in gold on a different page  ), and another pair of earrings too. Then I read that we can get a third item for HALF OFF?! Is this true? If so, I'll be picking out a third item! :teeth: And Bev, thank you so much for the gifts, John and I both LOVE them and he's already telling me where I should place them in our bookcase, near our Norman Rockwells, Hummels, and the Mickey/Walt Disney version of "Self Portrait" in our bookcase. lol They will be given a good home here, that's for sure! But I want them down here by my desk where I can see them every day! :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Mary Rose: It cracks me up to know that you thought all these years that I don't drink! :teeth: We'll definitely have to have a drink together on the cruise, and no, not a coffee in the Cove Cafe! :goodvibes It was great to see you and John again!

Denise: I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations at work. It must be difficult to have to spend a good portion of your day around someone like that. :( Hang in there. And vent to us anytime. We seem to have a great mix of people here, and like Moira said, it really brings people together when we see how much we do share and have in common. In the meantime, what's his address? I can always come down there and break his kneecaps :stir: (just kidding! LOL)

Ski-and-Sea: You're right about venting as a cheaper alternative to a psychiatrist! LOL My siblings and I have always said that, over the years. :rotfl: Not so much anymore, but when we were younger we'd all get together and complain about a few things, then laugh about it and feel better. lol

Andy: I hope things are looking better for you in regards to what's going on in your family these days. I hope Angelina has had a good time this weekend too. It sounds like it was perfect timing for her to be away and not have to hear all that, you know? I hope the rest of this weekend goes well for you, and enjoy your days off! :sunny:

Ed: I agree with what you said about things just happening in life. Unfortunately, the older *we* get, the older our parents and other family members get. And like you said, things do just happen sometimes, it's definitely not a "curse", that's for sure. I hope you're enjoying your weekend too :) oh, almost forgot to ask, are you making magnets for me? I'm not sure if I ever remembered to give you the info you needed or not, the wording I wanted on them...? I have been even more absent-minded than usual lately.

Linda: Oh my goodness that is an awful lot of money to not have coming in each week anymore. It's really a shame that you and your family will have to endure that while the courts try and make up their minds about who's supposed to pay it. And even though it's not an illness, it's still a very major thing to have happen, and all of the stress that goes with it. I hope they resolve it quickly!

Lori: Yay for your clean basement! What a nice surprise to come home to. Well done, Steve!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Susan: It was wonderful to meet you and your beautiful daughter yesterday!! I am so envious of you, getting to spend the entire summer at the Jersey Shore!! Enjoy the great weather for me, please?? LOL :sunny:

Denise: It was wonderful to meet you and your DH John! We have quite a few DH Johns, it seems! :teeth: You had great weather for a motorcycle trip, I hope you had a safe ride back to Toms River :moped:

Doreen: Elaine was mine and John's friend, from VMK. I think she fit right in, she's been on Disney cruises before, so at least we weren't speaking a foreign language in front of her. lol

Elaine, it was so great to meet you! We all look like a bunch of little kids on VMK, it's nice for us "big people" to get together! :teeth: Now we'll just have to be careful and not mention that we met, while on VMK. That's always the hard...oops I mean "difficult" part! LOL

Good morning everyone,

We had another storm last night. I'm getting tired of it. I NEED A CRUISE NOW!!! :rotfl2:

Andy - how are you doing today?

Doreen - my mom's okay today. I have to make an appointment for her to see another doctor. She's looking forward to our cruise "next month"; our family cruise on the Crown Princess in December; and the DIS reunion cruise on the Explorer next August. To quote her "what's there not to like - breakfast in bed and waited on for the rest of the meals; entertainment and being with the family." At 88 years young, she doesn't get around as fast as she used too but she's looking forward to the cruises.

Terry - how are Craig and John feeling today?

Well, have to get back to work.

Bev

:thumbsup2 We had a great time at the brunch, its was great to finally meet everyone.we had a good ride home and bypassed most of the traffic :moped: until we were about 2 miles from home, that 2 miles took us about 45 minutes, it was sooooo HOT!

Tina: sorry to here about the accident, hope John and Craig are doing okay.

Mary Rose: what time is the BBQ??? :rotfl2:

Denise :earsgirl:

If it gets too crowded over at Mary Rose's barbecue, we'll have plenty of room at our cook out in Illinois -- feel free to stop by!

We're celebrating our 18th anniversary today.

Lori & Steve: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Congrats! pixiedust:

Bev: Wow....I am so impressed with your mom at 88 still being able to enjoy life so much. I hope I'm as lucky.

Brunch Group: It sounds like it was so much fun. Thought about all of you all day. :drinking1

Terry: My heart broke for John and Craig. I'm glad they are okay, but still how sad for them.

And like many of you, more storms blew through our area in MD again yesterday. This is starting to get a little old. My DH and DS are camping in the woods somewhere in PA with scouts. They had to use their emergency evacuation plans to make sure everyone was safe. Also, my DH glasses broke. There just isn't a place in the middle of the woods to have them replaced. On the other hand, he has his vision corrected swim googles with him. I can just see him walking around in camp with his swim goggles on. He will be ribbed about it for years. :rotfl2:

It looks like I will spend another day watching movies with my DD who is nursing an ear ache since yesterday. The doctors' office is without power, so they are not open until Wed. I am able to keep her comfortable with ear drops and other meds. She is not in tears today, so I think she is getting better. She hardly ever cries due to pain, so I know how bad it was when she was crying. I'm glad she's back to giggling today. I'll still have it checked out on Wed. She is bummed she won't be going to the pool today and her swim meet might not be happening for her this week.

MY DD will have a friend to hang out with her since their home was damaged due to the storms. It is easier for the parents to deal with the damage and debris without the children. Plus they do not have electricity which means no AC. So a child around with AC and electricity would probably be better with me instead of complaining to the parents. The one DD is like a dughter to us anyway. I wish we could bring her on the cruise with us but she won't fly.

Just another day......................... C'est la vie........
Enjoy your day. Stay cool. :cool1:

Hi everyone!!!

I got back from Saratoga Springs late Friday evening but this is the first chance I've had to catch up on this thread. All I can say is WOW I can't believe how many pages I had to read thru!

My thoughts go out to Tina & Andy at such a difficult time! Hang in there & take care!

Glad those that went had fun at your meet...wish we could've been there. Any more thoughts on a NE meet???

Terry sorry to hear about the accident. How scary!

Terry is it too late to add 4 to the list of leis??? Don't worry if you already ordered them.

The cruise is coming up fast & so much homework to get through before that! I can't wait till I am done with school! I start my student teaching in the fall & then it will be over by mid-December. It can't come soon enough!

Welcome to any new cruisers & best wishes to all!
Diane

Glad to hear your brunch went well! :thumbsup2

The Fools met yesterday for their long awaited BBQ, Bonkers in Yonkers. There were more than 50 Fools there! Now it feels like vacation is almost here. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones. Just a little more than a month away!

Happy Anniversary Lori & Steve!

Happy Anniversay Lori and Steve. :cake: and many more.

Mary Rose - I forgot what time the BBQ is. What would you like us to bring besides all our Crusing Castaway friends? lol You have enough food, right?

I'm taking my DD Lindsay to see "Wrestling" tonight. She is so excited. I'm thrilled just thinking about it. :crazy2: Not!

When do we start counting down the days till the cruise?

Bev

We just arrived home from the shore area. The traffic heading to the shore was a bit heavy at noon, but there wasn't hardly any traffic on the way home. Angelina had a nice weekend with her cousins!!! They spent Saturday night on the boardwalk and had a BLAST!!!

I'm feeling better today(no headache)!!! :yay:

Angelina just informed me that she wants to change her bedroom around, so it's looks as though I will be busy for awhile.

Bye for Now :wave2:

Terry: Sorry to hear about Craigs new truck. Hope they can fix it to what it looked like before it got hit. Glad they were not badly hurt. :wizard:

Lori: Happy Anniversary Lori & Steve. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Doreen: We have had the same nasty thunderstoms here but no damage so far. :thumbsup2

Bev: Have fun tonight. :teeth:

Sounds like you all had a great time at brunch ! Really would like to see some pics............I have decided this will be the last post about my MIL. It's just getting really personal and I don't want to offend anybody but we aren't the only people reading these boards 2nd reason is your guys cruise is getting really close and there should be alot more cruise talk going on. :goodvibes I am sooooo glad Chuck is with his Mom, I am getting alot of updates, she loved the album and was very touched by it all. :grouphug: to everyone Tina

Tina..... I'm impressed that you were able to pull the book together so quickly. It looked great. Good luck with everything. Even though you won't be writing about your family situation anymore, just know you are in the prayers of many. Some angels you know, and some angels you don't know. :grouphug:
