Thanks for the countdown and sharing the pictures.
Well my black friday was spent racking leaves,

28 bags worth, but at least Im done for the year. 55 bags in all, 3 less than the past two years total of 58.

Andy: Thank you for posting the pics. they came out great! Looks like you guys had a blast!

Sue: Did I miss something? Are you not joining us in August? Say it aint so!

I am spending my Black Friday doing homework....as usual! yuck! :teacher:

While I'm at it, I hope you don't mind me bragging but I have to! LOL Anyway, my DD made the principals list at her Middle School this quarter, which is the highest honor you can get aaaaaand she won a city-wide essay contest! :cool1: We just got back from our annual tree-lighting ceremony, where she read the essay & they filmed it for our local cable station. :cold: It was fafafafreeeeezin'! Plus we will all have the honor of riding in the Santa Claus parade on Sunday. :wave2:

Okay I'm done! :p

Take care!
Diane

What great news Diane, and this is the perfect place to brag!!! :goodvibes

Angelina just finished her first marking period of 10th grade and this was the best she has done in school since 5th grade, she has made Hazel and I very proud.

That's a lot of leaves Ed!!!

At least here, we rake them to the curb, then the township comes around with the leaf trucks and pick them up.

Well sounds like you have the right to brag too...Dad! :teeth: Congratulations! :cheer2:

Hi All,

Now that Thanksgiving and the Brunch Meet are over, I spent today designing our annual Christmas card and letter. Actually, I think this is the first time I put a letter together to add in the cards. Now, I just have to wait for the printer ink I ordered to arrive, then I can start printing off our cards.

Terry, I trust you, John and the boys had a safe trip home. It was great getting to meet you and John on Friday. Looking forward to when we can meet up again!!! Another Red Lion Diner meet???

It was nice having these past four days off, it's back to the real world tomorrow morning.

We're home! We had such a wonderful time this weekend, between seeing my family at dinner at my brother's house on Thursday, then the DIS meet on Friday, and then my sister and BIL's 25th anniversary party last night!!!! :sunny: And we didn't hit any traffic on the drive down OR on the drive back home today! WOOT!!

Andy, thanks for posting the pictures from the meet. I'll see if John will have time later to post the pictures that we took. It was great to finally meet you and Hazel and Angelina. It was great to see Bev and Lindsay and Darlene and Stan and Sandy again too :flower: We will definitely have to have another meet and make sure all the kids and teens are there so they can get to know each other a little better before the cruise. :grouphug: Maybe even some other meets, like a New England meet for those of us who live in the north here. :cold: LOL

During the meet I thought it would be fun to see how many Disney items all of us had, so we took a count, and between the 10 of us, we had about 40 Disney items on us/with us! Including, Disney socks, watches, rings bought on the Disney cruise, antenna toppers, purses, wallets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, keychains, etc! It was fun as we counted off each item. :earboy2:

Karen and Sue: I am really going to miss meeting you on the cruise. I truly hope that another occasion/vacation comes up that we're able to meet each other; perhaps at Disney World, or when we finally take our UK vacation :)

Diane: CONGRATULATIONS to your DD on making the principals list and for winning the essay contest! :teacher: I know how proud of her you must be. :goodvibes

Robby (DS14) just got his first report card of the year and he got all A's, but 1 B+. He's in all Honors classes too, so we are very proud of the effort he puts into his work, too. :goodvibes Craig (DS17) has not gotten a report card yet because his school runs on tri-mesters, as opposed to semesters, so he won't get a report card until next month some time. But he usually does very well in school, too :)

Ed: Great job on raking up all of those leaves!! I just can't imagine that many bags of leaves. :earseek: We have woods behind our house so we usually set our lawn tractor to "mulch" then we mow up the leaves and dump it down in the woods.

Well the leaves were done over the month, but 28 bags were done on the day after thanksgiving. Between the diet and racking leaves , I managed to lose 4lbs this week. Even with a big thanksgiving day dinner.

Way to go Ed, congrats on the 4# lost!!!

Before you know it, you'll be burning more calories getting rid of sn*w. :cold:

Some good news to share, after dinner tonight Hazel and I went and traded in our 2002 Dodge Neon for a 2005 Dodge Neon. Our new car has quite a few more extras than our old car, and the payments are only about $6.00 more a month than what we were paying. We are using this as our 30th Wedding Anniversary gift and our BIG Christmas gift to each other this year. Since we took the loan for five years, I might have to put off my retirement for an extra six months, but I can deal with that, LOL!!! I'm the type of person that usually goes into a car dealership and pay what the going price is, tonight I shocked myself and played a little hardball and got the price of the car down about $3500.00, I feel so proud of myself!!! On our local Fox News this morning they were talking about how to get the price of a new car down, I used some of those tatics, and it worked!!! :moped:

Hows everyone doing tonight?

Its time to get back into WDW trip planning mode. This time for March 24-26 Pop solo then 26-31 VWL w/a friend and her daughter.

cool Terry - I remember when the countdown was well in the 60s/70s !

Have a good day

TGIF, thanks Terry!!!!!

Actually it was at 98 weeks out!! :earseek: :earboy2: I had to go back and edit it because the boards were formatted differently back then (bbCode now, as opposed to HTML back then) so that the "98 weeks to go!!!" would show up properly :flower:

Here's that first countdown post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=6585532&postcount=104

And YES, we sure have come a long way baby!! :hourglass :grouphug:
