Called & Had a Free Dining Pin!

Just called to see about a pin code for me and no luck! :sad1: The cm was very nice but didn't seem overly encouraging that calling back would help produce one for me. Here are a few questions I have for those who have gotten one by calling more than once.

How many times and how often did you call?

Did you mention anything special (like maybe about possibly having to change your reservations if FD doesn't come out?

Do you ask for any other names in your household?

Thanks!

maybe call back and talk to another CM? I called like 10times in 4 days

Soooooo . . . I have a PIN code for FD in my email for the end of Sept - mid Dec time frame. The possible issue is it is for my mom. A couple years ago, we took my parents and my mom doesn't use email so I just used my email as I was making all the plans, reservations, payments, etc it was just two separate reservations. My question is, does anyone think I can call and use it for hubby and me? :confused3

Try it! I think someone else had luck like that....I think it depends on the CM you get GL! :cloud9:

This happens to me all the time.

Does the pin fall under your home/mailing address? If so - you will be fine.

Unfortunately it's not b/c I did not want any problems at check in if Mom had to show her id. I think I am going to cross my fingers and call as a PP mentioned. I just need to decide on which resort.

Then hopefully you will receive a kind hearted CM.

As one who has booked/paid for multiple rooms under pincodes - I aways seem to receive everyone else's pins. The only thing that has worked for me is that most are under my address. Otherwise the person that the pin belongs to (when the pin is not under my address) is required to travel with me...

Okay, I have what may be a previously answered question but I scanned through a couple threads briefly and didn't see it mentioned. If it's already been covered I apologize in advance. I'm trying to figure this out and only have a few minutes to spend on here for the time being. I received a pin code offer in my email on Wednesday for free dining. When I clicked on the link, it showed my previous address and directed me to call the reservation number and speak with a cm to book a package. I called and spoke with a friendly cm who updated my address in their system and offered to help me make reservations on the phone. I tried (unsuccessfully, I think) to explain to her that I would rather make the reservations myself online when I'd have more time to plan things out. Does anyone know if there's a way to use my pin code after booking things online myself? I played around with reservations online for a few dates that fit into the pin code offer range but didn't see anywhere to enter in my pin code for the free dining when completing the reservations. Am I missing something or can you only apply this pin by booking over the phone? Here is the literature that was included in my pin code email if it helps anyone else out.

I called this morning and my name had the FD pin too. The cast member was a little pushy about it since I'm looking for a room discount only this time around. She kept telling me what a good deal it would be for me. But it's not considering I already have park tickets and will be spending some time outside Disney this trip. I just couldn't get her to understand that. So I'll be patient and keep trying.

Aquahollic - YES, there is a link to access your pinned offer online, but you need your 15 digit pin code to do so. I can forward it to you in a PM.

Can anyone tell me why the 2 weeks in October would be blocked out for free dining? I know the Food/wine festival is on but then that's on right up until beginning November, and it's available then :thumbsup2

Yep - mid Oct is usually blocked out. I have always heard it is a mixture of F&W, Columbus Day, fall breaks, and lots of conventions...thus, the resorts do well meeting capacity.
