We closed Tuesday! I've been calling twice a day since then hoping to be in the computer system. This morning when I said why I was calling, instead of hearing the usual response - "is there any other name it could be under?", she said "Did you buy at Boardwalk?" I can't tell you how happy I was to say "YES! Yes, I did!"

Sooo, I made my first reservation. I have wait listed a one bedroom at BCV. They had all but one night available and I was afraid to risk it. In the meantime we are booked in a one bedroom at BW with an EPCOT view. I'm just thrilled to be going! I have also wait listed a two bedroom, standard view at Boardwalk, but really don't expect that one to come through.

If anybody knows of a specific room number, what floor is best or anything else that would be helpful for me to request, I'd very much appreciate it! As I said we have booked EPCOT preferred view and would like to be able to see the fireworks.

Congratulations on being in the system. That first call sure feels good.

Are you sure that MS said "EPCOT preferred view". There are only three views at the Boardwalk and that's not one of them. They have Boardwalk View, Preferred View and Standard View. If you have a Boardwalk view you will be able to see EPCOT and the fireworks. If you have a standard view, there is a pretty good chance you will see the fireworks, but mainly the higher ones. If you have a preferred view, chances are that you will not see EPCOT or the fireworks from your room.

If you get the standard view and want the fireworks, ask for a high floor, away from the elevator facing the bus stop. That's a lot of requests but if it's open they will get you a view of Illuminations.

Congratulations on that first DVC ressie. From a fellow Kentuckian and BWV owner.

What she actually said was "preferred" view. Then she asked would I like a fireworks view or pool view. I told her we'd love to be able to see the fireworks. It is NOT a Boardwalk view. Am I confused or what? Sounds like fireworks are not in my future. :guilty:

Thanks for the welcomes and congratulations!

Hi there Bill from Louisville!
