Called and booked Free Dining, Question

I called and booked 7 nights at AKL with free dining on Sunday. I am a Disney Visa holder. The reservation begins with a K and is online now. When I look it up online it does not say anything about dining, free or not, just MYW tix with Park Hop. Should I call and verify?

If your reservation number starts with a K it indicates the free dining package.

The "K" does not mean free dining..some have a K some have just numbers. i called yesterday to confirm w/ CRO. The online ressies do not list dining seperately but it will be on your paper confirm you will receive 7 days or so from when you booked.

I'm a DV cardholder also, and had no idea about the free dining deal until this morning when I got the All Ears Newsletter. (THANK YOU All Ears!!!) How did you find out about this?

I'm a little miffed at DV right now, because I already had a package booked with AAA in Sept. and would have loved to get it changed before the package opened up to the GP...just to be sure that I could get in on it!

Hi. I was also wondering why my dining plan is not showing in my online reservation. I originally booked my package in mid-March with the dining package. When I heard about free dining I was on the phone Tuesday at 7 am. With the money I saved with free dining, I was able to stay onsite for 2 additional days, and booked the extra days on the phone right then. Almost immediately the online confirmation showed the update to the amount of days I am staying but no longer mentions the dining plan at all. Has anyone else seen this? It is so hard to get through to Guest Relations when I have the free time to do it because of my work schedule. I just want to know if it's normal.

Jellio, I did not hear at all about this from Disney Visa, I think they are poor communicators! I read about it right on the DIS codes and rates forum! I think that the Disney Visa is not the greatest rewards card for much, but I'll take anything rewards I can get re a Disney vacation. At least it is 0% for 6 months!

Did you give them your e-mail address? I hear that only folks who gave them an e-mail address or signed up to recieve e-mails and other offers got the e-mail.

Yeah I didn't hear about the DV dining deal except for on the Dis. I even tried to look it up on on the Disney Visa website under "offers" and I couldn't find it . My ressie does start with a K, who knows why, but I have called a few times and they have always said "with free dining" and offered to transfer me to Dining to make my ADR's (no thanks I already have them ).

This is what is so confusing to me. I booked on Saturday with the Disney Visa card, yet my reservation number does not have the K. I am going to call to verify that I have the free dining, but I have already had to call them twice about other things, and I am sure that both times they mentioned that I had the free dining.

You know you will have to call to put your mind at ease, I'm sure it's just fine, but call so you feel secure about it. Most CM's understand our worries. Until you can call, don't worry about it too much I'm sure you are absolutely fine.

I booked through my Disney Visa for my package then the next day (4/4)booked two individual packages for the Grandparents- the Visa booking has a "K" and the other 2 do not- however- the cm making the reservations assured me that we all have the free dining ?? - and she linked our reservations together so we might be put in the same building at the resort too so I don't think she misunderstood me about the free dining.

Waiting patiently on the paperwork to arrive!

I changed my ressie from December to September to take get the free dining plan, second year in a row- woohoo! I looked at my ressie on the disney websiteand the dates were changed but no mention of the free dining plan included. Before it listed the dining package. Me being the worry wart that I am called Disney and the nice CM so that sometimes it doesn't show up but they do have me down as getting the free dining plan. I should receive a new ressie in the mail within 7 days. I think as long as it listed on there you should be fine- good luck!!!!!! Their website has been acting kind of funky anyways, I guess they are still working out the "kinks".
