I'm looking forward to the rain this weekend !

It canceled the golf tourney my DH were supposed to play in, which is a bummer, but I am so looking forward to staying inside this weekend and getting things done around the house. I also see a movie or perhaps a nap in my future on Sunday !!

Anyone else have a "stay inside" just puttering around weekend planned ?

I wish!! I did that today...well..the two 15 minute naps the baby let me take!! I was off today...I work this weekend :(
I'm still in my PJs :) But...I have done a 'few' things around the house...

I would love a rainy weekend if I could have it all to myself. Unfortunately, if it rains here, all dh's soccer games will be canceled and he'll be home parked in front of the TV watching soccer all weekend. Noooooo thanks!

I'm not, the rain is keeping me from my overnight trip to Atlantic City :(

I've had very little down time lately. I have outdoor plans for Saturday and Sunday. If we get the weather they are calling for my plans will be postponed and I will not be unhappy to just relax at home.:cool1: I can decorate indoors for fall and halloween.:)

Nope, not looking forward to it. We are going to Parents' Weekend at DS's college and it won't be nearly as nice with the rain. We will have fun anyway since we will all be together.

I was planning on doing a Lighthouse tour in New Hampshire and Maine with a bunch of other Dis'ers but that wont be happening now. DS's soccer game will be canceled so instead I'll be at home with 3 children 6 and under. They'll be fighting over whether to watch Speed Racer or Hi5. Oh yay!!

I was looking forward to putting my new camera into some its first good photo shoot.

Umm...rain, what is that??? I moved from New England to CA on July 1st and I have not seen a single drop of rain since arriving!!! :sunny: This weather in Southern California is absolutely amazing. Bright sun every single day...the temps are in the mid 70's and never any humidity!!! :sunny: Come to SoCal, everyone!!! :sunny:

I'm planning on cleaning out my kids' closets if it rains. Outdoor work (& soccer & cheerleading) if it's sunny.

I'm hoping for rain. The closets are a disaster!

Hi Crazy! :flower3:

I cleaned house all day yesterday and have pretty much nothing to show for it. How does THAT happen??

Ok, first off I will do as you asked. You are crazy.

As far as rain, well we've had enough for a while. Don't want any more for a while. Hope the rain stays away.

Oh Stichfans....if you only knew ! Well, don't ask Mermaid02....she's got some stories to tell. :rolleyes1

We actually could use some rain, but certainly NOT the 4 to 6 inches that they're predicting.

Anywho....I'm still excited about it !

uh, yeah - Welcome to the Land of Drought!

We almost never get rain until October up here in NorCal. I think SoCal is even drier than we are.

I would not call it DROUGHT at all.....I lived in New England my whole life and we would have droughts in the summer months and it is nasty...the lawns everywhere are all BURNT :headache: orange in color :headache: and when you walk on them the grass crunches under your feet :headache: and it is nasty. :headache: Now here in SoCal everything is DRY and GREEN!!! They water alllllll night everywhere even the grass on the side of the roads....everything is dry BUT pretty. :goodvibes

No. Before you know it, we'll be stuck inside all the time. I have packed my weekends in Sept and Oct with as many outdoor plans as possible and I hate to abandon them. Fortunately, I don't think we're going to get here in SE PA as much as you all closer to the shore and in NE.

We're planning to do a late night at Dorney Park for Halloweekends and another night at Celtic Classic in Bethlehem. Nice weather would be a real bonus.
