I am having an outpatient surgery tomorrow morning under general anesthesia. I am really scared about being put out. I know many people do it, but can't seem to get past it. DH is not overly supportive.
Can you wave some pixie dust my way???
Thanks!!!!

You'll be okay. It takes longer to put you to sleep & wake up again than it does to do the procedure. It's very quick. You won't be asleep long and when you wake up its all over. Ask the anesthesiologist if he can give you something to help you relax when you get there. Usually they can give you something in your IV. Then you will relax and not be bothered by the lights or sounds of the hospital environment. Best of luck to you. This procedure totally changed my life! I'd do it again is a New York minute
I remember one of the nurses in the OR had tropical fish scrubs and a matching hair cover thing-y and I told her she had a nice hat. Then I closed my eyes and opened them about 3 or 4 hours later.
