Call from Mickey...

So did anyone get a successfull phone call from Mickey Mouse yesterday as a part of booking a 2009 vacation package? Disney called 4 times and we never got to Mickey's message. The phone always hung up after being instructed to hit #2 for Mickey's message. I finally gave up and just told my nephew about his Christmas surprise. Wondering if it was just us or did anyone else have this problem?

The Mickey call came 5 times yesterday! The first 4 times we got a busy signal after we were asked to press the number 2. Finally, late yesterday afternoon the call came and when we pressed 2 Mickey actually came on the phone! By that point, nobody cared too much about the call, it was kind of a let down after all of the ones that didn't come through!

I received four calls and each one came through. It was great because there are four of us in the family and each one got a call!

That is what happened to us last year. They tried calling us 4 times and the 4th call finally came through.


But this year the first call was successful!!!! About 8:15am, we got our phone call right as we were opening up gifts from Santa. It was perfect timing and my kids were so excited!!! I loved it. I'll try to download the video of them getting the call.

It's nice to know I wasn't the only one that experienced problems. It became kind of funny after the 2nd call of the day. My nephew is 17 so he wasn't too upset that he never heard from Mickey. I just told him about the trip after the first call attempt. Then we just laughed everytime the phone rang after that. Made for a entertaining day.

We recieved 3 calls...... all worked! I was wondering if this happened to anyone else!

Last year, we got all 4 calls, that's really great.

But this year, they tried calling us 4 times, but we got only the last call

It took 2 times before it came through... but this was quite a story.

Let me begin by saying that the countdown is 50 days left.

It t'was the morning of Christmas, and all through the house - not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... then the phone rang and it was the MOUSE!! But when I pressed 2, the Mouse was gone...

I wasn't sure how I was going to present the disney trip to the family... so I came up with a plan... I had prepared 2 posters (one for each child) - I had created virtual tickets for Disney. I hid them in the tree. I was planning to ask my oldest to read the poster...

On Christmas day, we waited until the kids open their gifts from santa. After they were done, I made a remark that there was something weird in the christmas tree - My DS unrolled the poster and started reading ... halfway through... the phone rang. It was Mickey! I got everyone to pick up a phone... And the second time was the charm! What great timing!

Wow! You couldn't have timed that better!! How exciting for the kids!!
