Wondering if anyone has experience with this since California Grill switched to the prix fixe menu. Our kids (13 and 10) are no longer kids according to Disney lol. The 13 year old is especially picky, but loves salmon so I'm hoping they would allow him to get an adult-sized portion of the kid's salmon for the adult price. No problem paying the adult price- just would like for them to enjoy their meal. :)
Please let me know your experience at CG with this.

We did the Celebration dinner in December and it was awesome! Our girls are 11 and 8 and had no problem with the menu. Our 10 yo ordered the filet and our 8 yo had a hard time at first but our waiter got down to her level and helped her pick out what to eat. He told her he had dough in the kitchen and would make her a cheese pizza which made her super happy! That combined with the fireworks made it a great dinner experience. Plus all our food was so good, DD8 ate part of sisters steak and shared her pizza with her. If they were willing to make something not on the menu, I can't imagine them not modifying a menu item like Salmon.

In our experience, any disney prix fixe restaurant will let a 10 year old order kids food, you just have you pay adult price for it. An $89 kids meal is a little nuts, but if money is no object, have fun.

I do wish that they would set a different age limit for these thing. 12 would make a lot more sense. There is no way a 10 year old can eat an adult size app, entree and dessert.

My now 11 year old has no problem putting down a 5-8 oz filet and dessert but we often take leftovers back to the room. I do agree with you on this though. A 10 year old is a child but once they get to WDW they are a "Disney Adult" which is ridiculous.
