California Grill or Shula's?

My DH and I will be at WDW Oct 1-8 to celebrate our 6th anniversary, and we're currently trying to decide between CG and Schula's for our anniversary dinner, which will be Oct 4. Of the restaurants at which we've dined during previous visits, CG is definitely our favorite, but I've heard good things about Shula's from some of the guidebooks, and we'd like to try something new. However, I've heard that Shula's goes kind of overboard on the football theme, which doesn't seem to lend itself to romance - plus, neither of us likes football in the least. I would love to hear the opinions of some of you who have tried both.

I have not eaten at the DW Shula's but did eat at the Tampa location. I would vote for California Grill. The view is great. Our food was excellent (we were there two weeks ago and were seated in the Wine Cellar which was much quieter than the main room). I found Shula's to be a generic dark wood paneled steak house. I find the steak house menu kind of boring, but others will certainly disagree. .... steve c

As much as I love Shula's it's not romantic. It is the best steak on property though.

I vote California Grill. My hubby and I still talk about the AWESOME meal that we had when we went in December. He is a very picky eater and does not like to try different things. We both got the steak and I do have to say it's probably the best meal that either of us have ever had. We are planning to return when we go back in October. O yeah and plus it's one of the most romatic places.....he asked me to marry him during the fireworks!
