Hi everyone

I am trying to decide between the California Grill and Jiko for our anniversary dinner. We have not eaten at either one. Which would you suggest?

Thank you :goodvibes

I'd pick California Grill! This past December, we dined at both restaurants and I greatly preferred CG over Jikos. I had the filet at both locations and the California Grill was impeccable. Another consideration, the view at CG is hard to beat. Just my .02

I have found Cali Grill to be much more romantic. Try and work it out so that you have a reservation either way before or after the fireworks. The restaurant is much quieter as most go for that reason. We like having the restaurant more to ourselves and enjoying the wonderful view around us. The fireworks are a nice bonus, but we much prefer the peace. :)

Well i LOVE both of those places. We have eaten at Cali Grill several times and you def can't beat the view- espeically if you go about 90 minutes before fireworks time.
But i actually liked the filet and mac and cheese at Jiko better than filet at Cali grill- but that's just me.

Both are GREAT though. If you've never done a place on the monorail- i'd go w/ Cali Grill for the "disney feel" - but you wouldn't be disppointed w/ jiko either.

Definitely California Grill - the food is fantastic, and the view is unbelievable!

Be sure to let them know that it's your anniversary - it may increase your chance of getting a window table.

I've dined at both (many times more at Jiko). It's a hard choice. CG is somewhat of a madhouse. However the food and service is excellent.
Jiko is excellent as well. I prefer the food at Jiko - and the atmosphere there.
You cannot go wrong.
If you enjoy sushi, go w/ CG!

Definitely let them know at either location that it is your anniversary :thumbsup2

DS and DDIL ate at CG for their first wedding anniversary, and that's what they thought-it was a madhouse. They were seated right in the middle of the resturant and found it too "bustling". But on the positive side, they got a free dessert for their anniversary! I'd prefer the atmosphere of Jiko.

We ate at both 3 weeks ago, and I would say Jiko..
I thought California Grill was just ok :sad2: sorry!

I would vote for an ADR at CG. Both DW and I love the dining experience. Try to get an ADR during the fireworks and request a window table.
Enjoy either place
