We have PS at California Grill on 9/19 at 6:00. We aren't planning on watching the fireworks during dinner but wondered if there were restrictions on going to the observation deck after dinner. If we get done with dinner at 7:00-7:30, could we go out to the observation deck until 8:00 to see Wishes? As always, THANKS!
:p :p :p

You are no longer allowed to just hang out on the observation deck. You have to be eating/drinking in the restaurant or lounge.

If you want to see the 8pm fireworks..I suggest you either eat slowly or make your reservation a little later.

We just ate there 2 weeks ago and this is what they are offering now.

The California Grill is reserved for guests that are dining there only (as you are) you will check in on the 2nd floor of the Contemporary and they will escort you up in a "California Grill only" elevator. As they are seating you is when they tell you the GOOD news. Since you are having dinner there (regardeless of time) you are welcome to watch the fireworks from the observation deck. You don't have to make your dinner super long or book a later seating, when you are done with dinner you can leave and come back for fireworks. All you have to do is bring your receipt back to the check in desk on level 2 and they will verify the date and away you go back up the "California Grill" elevator and to the observation deck you go. Since your dinner should be ending closer to the fireworks than mine did you are more than welcome to wait for "Wishes" just make sure you hang onto your dinner reciept in case someone asks to see it.

We had dinner at 7:20 and fireworks were at 10 so when we finished dinner we went downstairs and went to the gift stores, hung out at the Outer Rim bar and chatted and had drinks until about 9:20 and then went back to the podium on level 2 and back up to the observation deck. It was very nice :)

Can you hear the music out on the observation deck or only in the restaurant itself......I'm haveing dinner there in Oct. Our dinner reservation is at 7:30 and of course the fireworks are late that night.

If you have had dinner there, you may certainly stay on teh observation deck or sit at the bar for a nightcap (no kids alowed there though) to see the fireworks.
