I'm sort of "meh" about the celebrity chefs they have. I know everyone seems to like Robert Irvine, but he doesn't really appeal to me. I wonder if Guy Fieri will have his famous Donkey Sauce available.

I can imagine the lines for the demonstrations being very long.

I noticed that in the press release I linked on the previous page, there is a paragraph that begins with the sentence "Food is always part of the fun at Disney California Adventure." It then goes on to mention a couple of the places to eat in California Adventure, including "...handmade treats at Candy Palace."

Someone goofed. Candy Palace is in Disneyland, not in DCA. I guess they meant to say "handmade treats at Trolley Treats."

I just booked a wine demonstration. Hope it is as fun as the one I had at EPCOT. I didn't book the Celebrity Chef demonstration--I can see $99 is a good price point for the Celebrity Chef but it is hard for me to pay that and when EPCOT charged $15 regardless of the celebrity status of the chef. I wasn't able to book a session with Cat Cora but I had a great time too with a less known chef. Anyway, still super excited with the CA F&W.

I just booked a Lasseter wine tasting! I just chose a time I wanted and then after I paid, I realized there was a schedule and it was a Lasseter - so I'm incredibly excited! Seems reasonable too - $15/person.

When I did this at Epcot, John was there with his wife Nancy, although he stressed that the winery was Nancy's baby. He came with swag and did Pixar trivia to win it. I ended up with a Lasseter Winery visor and I got him to sign it.
I haven't quite finalized my trip, but will book one of these as soon as I do.

I'm trying to picture table configurations in my head. I'm going to say, best guess, around 75. DCA doesn't have the same amount of space as EPCOT, so I'm guess theirs will be smaller.

Actually the beverage seminar page says there are 75 spots for them:

The seminars that have been announced so far are only taking place on the weekends. I'm also curious to see if anything will be happening on the weekdays.

So far, the seminars that have been announced have an extra charge. I would also expect there to be an extra charge for all of the food items, but I think it's possible that there might be some "free" activities. (e.g., the description on Disneyland.com includes says that along with the celebrity chef demo and beverage seminars there will be "lifestyle talks on art, gardening, wellness and more!" so I wouldn't be surprised if some of those are included with the price of admission to the park). Hopefully they'll release more information soon!

Are the Festival Marketplaces on the CA Map new? Maybe I've never noticed them before!? The ones I've noticed are :The Farm, The Brewhouse, Gold Rush, Viva Fresca, Wine Country, The Vineyard, LA Style, and By The Bay
