We have one "nice" meal selected for our upcoming March trip that is more for dh and I... the rest of our dining choices are really for our 2 boys (or the family as a whole I guess I should say). When we booked our 180 we picked Cali Grill but seeing the new 2012 choices I am debating about switching to Fultons. Any thoughts??

The day in question is our Animal Kingdom day and the park closes at 5 so really either would be perfectly convenient travel-wise. Opinions??

We are staying in the Poly and doing the DxDP... our boys are 9 and 6 (youngest has autism but both boys do well in restaurants). Our current ADRs we have are Ohana (D), Chef Mickey (B), Kona (D), Coral Reef (L), Le Cellier (D), 50 PTC (L), Cape May (D), Yak and Yeti (L), Cali Grill (D), LTT (L), CRT (D), Ohana (B). We plan on eating snacks and counter service type breakfasts at the resort for the most part.

I would do Cali Grill because the current rumor is that it will be closing for refurbs in 2012, and opening as something else. In other words, it may be permanently closing in the next year or two - if the rumor is true, of course. Plus, from what I have read, Fulton's does not get the best reviews and people have commented that the current Fulton's menu isn't worth 2 TS credits. However, there is a chance the menu could be changing with the new implementation of DDP.

Ever done DxDP before? If not, just a little tip - to maximize your credit usage, do all the signatures you can and avoid QS meals when you can. The first time we did DxDP, we didn't do any signatures and ate a QS meal each day and ended up with extra credits. After doing some math, we lost money on DxDP. The first time we did it we also found that we spaced our meals too close together when scheduling ADRs. We ended up canceling about 4 dinners because we were still too full from lunch. We never eat an app, entree AND dessert in the "real world" and didn't realize how much food it really is until we got there! So space them accordingly :thumbsup2

No, we haven't... this will be our first time. We are actually expecting to "lose" money on the deal and are okay with it... we are doing it for convenience. Our youngest has multiple food allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy, gluten, and a few other "minor" allergies as well) and we found on our last trip that it was rather difficult to feed him at most CS places...especially within my comfort zone. The TS places, however, were extremely accommodating and wonderful even with his limited diet. So we wanted all of our meals to be at TS places... or at Captain Cooks (where the chef from Kona prepared his food... which was wonderful). We already knew we couldn't really eat 3 meals a day... not with apps AND desserts... so we booked 2 meals a day spaced a part. Hopefully this way we'll actually get to use *some* of our snack credits but even then I am doubtful... LOL!
