Hi there, remember me???
I know I've been pretty much the worst Dis-er lately, but I figured I would come by here and say hello!!
(Hi!)
Things around here have been busy (and finally starting to get summer-like warm!), wedding planning is coming along well (Friday will be a YEAR since DF proposed - I can't believe how fast time is going!), and this just happened!:
My parents have this fun "message board" on their mantle:
The ever-fashionable Stringbean:
When I last left off forever ago, we had just had breakfast at Crystal Palace, and decided to revisit a few of our usual favorites before our last Disney meal of the trip.
Don't be intimidated by my amazing score...
Who wants to be here right now?
The only place in the Magic Kingdom you can have a Disney wedding is at the Swan Boat Landing. While we were in the neighborhood, we decided to pay it a visit.
I assume during a ceremony they'll put more chairs out.

Lunch that day was at LTT!
DF and I both had the Pot Roast, which we thought was really good, and a great-sized portion.
For dessert, DF had some sort of berry cobbler that I want to say involved rhubarb. (Can you tell I can't find my dining notes?)
He enjoyed it, but I like to think I had the better dessert selection that day, with the famous Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake (with non-dairy ice cream

)
Throughout the meal, our server was really sweet and kept calling us "her lovebirds". With dessert, she brought over a bag for us, and said that it was an engagement gift for us.
I don't have a picture of it at the moment (it's packed away with our holiday things), but it was a pretty silver Christmas ornament (I'll take a picture and share with the rest of our souvenirs post). It was totally sweet and unexpected of her, and was a nice sprinkling of pixie dust before we headed back home.
And then...sadly...our trip had to come to an end...
This was the only point in the trip that we had to wait awhile for a bus back to POFQ.
The rest of the trip from here was pretty uneventful. My dad (remember my parents were at Disney with us during this trip??) was heading to California for a business meeting, but my mom was taking the same flight with us back home. The aftermath of Sandy was still in full swing by us, with lots of power outages and miles-long gas lines, so we decided it would be best to spend the night with DF's parents (since we were landing in the evening and driving during the night was advised-against with down power lines).
The next morning, we drove my mom back home. Every gas station we passed either looked like this, or had huge lines of people waiting. (Thankfully, we had both filled up our cars before we had left for FL, so we didn't have to get fuel immediately during the craziest waits.)
DF and I arrived back home soon after that. No damage by us, but the power had clearly been off for awhile, so I threw out everything we had in the fridge and freezer (which we had anticipated happening anyways).
I will have at least one more post in this TR, a wrap-up and souvenirs post!! For all of you sticking with me on this ridiculously slow-moving TR, thank you! I really do wish I had more time to keep up with everyone's TR's lately! I promise, soon I will be back to my normal posting (and following) habits!!
