Cake Flavors

I was wondering what everyone is/did for their wedding cake flavors. For the intimate cake, do you get one cake flavor or two? Also, does anyone know if they have red velvet cake? That is my absolute favorite!

From my planning kit, cake included is choice of:

Chocolate
Yellow
Almond
Marble

With these filling choices

Chocolate mousse
White chocolate mousse
Strawberry mousse
Raspberry Mousse
Amaretto Mousse
and Buttercream.

I'm sure they could do pretty much anything you wanted, but with a upcharge.

I think I'm sticking with just the marble cake with buttercream.

I dont remember if we could have more than one flavor, but we had Marble with White chocolate mousse. We tried to keep it a flavor everyone would like. Everyone still comments a year later about how good it was!

I was also considering the raspberry mousse...

But I agree they'll do anything you want, but they may charge you a little more

You can have two different flavor combos for the Intimate Cake at no extra charge. So far I have never seen anyone charged for requesting the fillings that are offered to Wishes brides, like peanut butter cup. Red velvet is listed as a standard cake flavor for Wishes brides on the DFTW site. Let's hope they can do the cream cheese frosting too!

I had asked about the peanut butter filling and was told that it is not available for Intimates/Escapes. Weird, because I've read of other people being able to have it without a problem.

Anyway, we chose chocolate cake with chocolate mousse for the bottom layer (DF's choice) and yellow cake with raspberry mousse for the top layer (my choice).
