I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but here it is anyway:

We are celebrating my FIL's 60th birthday during our September trip. We are staying at AS sports and were wondering if there was anyplace that would deliver a cake to the resort? We would like to surprise him.

Thanks!

On the restaurant board there is a sticky about birthday cakes. They have all of the phone numbers to call as well as sizes and prices. Several people have said they had them delivered but there is a fee. They also have pics that people have posted and they say what type of cake and filling and where they came from.

We had a replica of our Disney Wedding cake made at the Boardwalk Bakery-vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse and strawberries. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

We used gardengrocer.com for breakfast foods/pastries, milk, juice, "adult beverages," etc. and had a beautiful and tasty 9" round birthday cake as part of our order. All were delivered right to us at the YC.

(We actually had "Welcome to Walt Disney World!" written on our cake instead of "Happy Birthday," but of course, you could have anything you wanted.) The cake came in a white cardboard box with a see-thru window - it was sort of a premium supermarket type. It was very fresh and good and was $20. This company seems to be able to get/deliver just about anything, and we'd highly recommend them. Not sure if they would just deliver a cake, as I think there is a minimum order $ required, but maybe you would find other items you could use to put together an order.

We're sure we could have gotten pricier and fancier cakes directly from Disney, but were already splurging on enough other things!

Good luck!

Sorry - me again. I just looked at the gardengrocer site (I was curious) and the cake we got was 8" not 9". It did feed a lot of us - for days! Also, our cake was much more heavily decorated and colorful than the sample (?) cake shown in their photo. I guess maybe that is just a stock image.

Also, you've probably already thought of this, but I know you can get plastic forks, napkins, etc. from the food court at the AS, so you'll be all set, if you don't bring that stuff from home.
