We decided to upgrade to a CL room instead of TS dining for our short trip. I was able to cancel the Tea with the link provided when I prepaid by CC. I also emailed the contact that originally reached out. After 24 hours she confirmed I was canceled.
We decided to do Poly CL
I'm glad that things are getting better. It sounds like they fixed some of the exact things that I complained about earlier this month. I do wish that I didn't need to be a guinea pig but if reviews like yours become the norm I may give it a second chance sometime in the future. I will however ask to be moved if they try to put me in that spare room again.I wanted to share our experience, since I was on the fence about keeping our reservation after reading some of the poor experiences some people have had on here. I’m so glad I did! Our reservation was for 5:45 pm. We got called to our table at 5:44 pm. I ordered the croque-monsieur and it was absolutely delicious . My son got the french onion soup and he said it was very good. Had everything on it and in it that it should. For cakes, we tried the chocolate cake and pumpkin spice cinnamon roll cake. They were fantastic. Fresh tasting, not stale at all. The service was excellent and we had our paper bill on our table about an hour after arrival. They are definitely listening to the complaints and working the kinks outs.
We were seated in the side room. The Christmas swags hanging up now add more ambiance to that area. We were seated at a two top by a window looking into the main room. We had a perfect view of the carrousel with the revolving Christmas decorations on top. I do agree the acoustics are not the best out there. It was fine during the meal because there was only one other party near us. However, by the time we were eating our cake two more tables had been seated and it was getting loud.
Same! A friend and I booked a 10pm reservation after Epcot fireworks during a long weekend girls trip mid-Nov. She wanted the raspberry cake and I wanted red velvet, so we compromised and settled on sharing the millionaire cake. It was amazing. I had a glass of the house bubbly rosé and she had a glass of wine. It was lovely. Not sure I would do a whole meal there, however.DD and I shared a ridiculously priced piece of Millionaire Cake last week, and it was delicious!! I would happily eat it again. We didn't eat a meal there though. I will say the building is beautiful. It sparkles both inside and out.
After watching the review vid you reference, I’m going to guess that you’ve decided to buy most of the items from the bakery and put together your own tea experience. Made me giggle a bit that none of them were sure about the taste of blackberries vs raspberries. Sounds like they had a nice girls’ date though. There is a recent vlog on you tube of the afternoon tea. Not sure if I'm allowed to link the vlog, but if you search cake bake shop Disney it should come up. It's a lady called Demi, wearing a blue dress.
So after watching the vlog, I'm glad I decided not to book the afternoon tea.
Good to know about the breakfast! Had the millionaires cake myself a few weeks ago. Delicious. Staying at Boardwalk in March and not sure I would do lunch or dinner there but breakfast sounds like a good idea.Just want to chime in my experience from Cake Bake Shop last week. We were staying at the Boardwalk so an easy stop for us!
One night my daughter and I shared a piece of millionaire cake. WOW! It was absolutely incredible - so, so moist, the highest quality of ingredients- It was worth every penny especially when you split a piece and its only about $12/serving. Honestly, I can't imagine eating an entire piece and I eat a lot - especially sweets.
We ate breakfast in the restaurant on departure day. Honestly, the prices are not bad at all. Very comparable to other restaurants and the quality far surpasses most. My daughter got the waffles and LOVED them. I got Eggs Benedict ($19.99), and it was the best I have ever had. Daughter's fiancé ordered the egg breakfast - the plate was overflowing-delicious thick toast, tasty fingerling potatoes, high quality bacon and perfectly cooked eggs and a salad! All for $16.99. It's actually an amazing price!
Anyway-that was our experience-will definitely go back next time we are in the world. Still dreaming of that cake!
It really wasn't bad at all - large serving and was on a croissant not an english muffin - the flavors all worked beautifully together. The salad was so dressed so lightly and really complemented the eggs benedict. Forget to add that our service was impeccable, and the restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holidays.Eggs Benedict price doesn't sound too bad.... I think the Olivia's eggs Benedict is more expensive (though it comes with crab meat I believe).
Thanks for sharing this!Review of Roses of Gold Tea:

DH and I had a very lovely lunch at CaleBake on our pre-Thanksgiving WDW visit.
We wanted to try several things, so the pick two option was perfect.
DH had1/2 French ham & Brie sandwich and soup (can’t remember which soup he ordered).
I had the 1/2 turkey and Gruyère Sandwich and the 1/2 Blackberry Avocado salad.
Oh my goodness- the bread was fantastic! The sandwiches were great. I loved the salad.
If it had been any other place, we would have quit at that point and not ordered desert (because we were full), but how can you go to CakeBake and not order desert?
We talked it over with our server. We wanted to order Gwendolyn’s Famous Earls Court Chocolate cake for right away (but we didn’t think we would be able to finish it and would need a box for it) and also a slice of Key Lime Pie for later on. Our server had the perfect solution- he packaged both deserts to go. (We were right- there was no way we could have finished the cake. )
We were staying at BWV, so we brought both deserts back to our room fridge.
Both the cake and the Key Lime pie were very, very good! DH said it was the best Key Lime Pie he has ever had. (I have to agree.).
