Cafe Orleans F! Dining opens 8/15

Believe me they will!! They've done it during the parade, when people don't stand up behind the front row. They'll stand there and shout "Everybody standing! Everybody standing! Sir, please stand!! I need you all to stand!!! Standing room only behind front row!! Stand now, everybody!!" and keep going until people listen. I'm sure the same will happen at Fantasmic. Maybe the front row will be able to get away with sitting, but the further back will def have to stand if that becomes the policy.

Except that front row will be premium people...those poor souls who paid $90 for a $40 meal and a foam seat.

Ah, I got ya! I didn't realize that they would be front row, but that makes total sense.

So, earlier today, I was able to get a reservation for 11:50 on one of my days at DL. When I received the reservation confirmation through email, it just states Cafe Orleans Lunch. Is that what it says for all Fantastic Dinner Packages?? Or did it end up just making regular reservations?? Let me know... thanks!

Mine says Cafe Orleans Fantasmic Dining Package, 1st Show. I made my reservation for 5pm. It looks like you have a regular lunch reservation. I did make mine over the phone and did not receive an email, but it shows up under my reservations on the app and the website.

When you booked it should be under Fantasmic Dining. If you when to just Cafe Orleans that's just the regular restaurant. My confirmation says "Cafe Orleans Fantasmic! Dining Package 1st Show" at the top

Well, I was able to make a reservation via the phone, but am not completely sold on the situation. I'm glad Cafe Orleans is an option while we are there since we were going to eat there anyway, but 1) it would still be nice to know what the actual menu will allow us to order. I know my vegetarian daughter is hoping for the green tomato sandwich. And, 2) it would be great if they actually had some lunch and dinner time options. Apparently the times they are offering are for mid-afternoon and later in the evening. For the first showing I had options of 2:30-3:30 and for the second showing, options dinner options didn't even start until 6:30. Blech.

It might be the date you're looking at is already booked. I was offered times between 11:30am and 6:30pm for 1st show; anything after then for 2nd show when I called today. Maybe some times will open up closer to lunch.

When the online availability finally came up, I couldn't find any availability for Cafe Orleans on 10/7 for a party of 4 at anytime during the day. Then I tried looking for a party of 3 and lots of availability showed up. I booked a 12:30 for a party of three then called Disney Dining and asked if it was possible to change it to a party of four. They could! So now I have a lunch reservation with entry into the first F!! show that evening.

I honestly think they will get so many complaints if they try to make it standing. Why pay for that if you can get a free fastpass to stand? People who don't realise who have booked the meal will be furious. I will watch with interest. ....if there's no sitting then I won't be bothering with it!

Correct you cannot book until 60 days prior. For 10/28 that should be 8/29.

I think the policy is right now, yes, all dining packages get to sit. I am still worried about the future weekends-only showings of F!.

I am waiting to hear back from Dis guest relations as well. I SPECIFICALLY asked about Cafe Orleans and the timing when F! is only on the weekends. I explained the conflict of some CMs saying it was seated and others saying it will change to standing. I will post what answer I get this time....

Just booked Cafe Orleans on 9/9 at 5:50. I got the 1st show, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. Here is to hoping for seating on the hard floor!
