Cafe Mickeys reveiw

Can anyone please tell me the difference between upstairs and downstairs at Cafe Mickeys - someone mentioned that you could watch a parade from upstairs ?

And what would be the best time to book for dinner there - so that we get to see the charachters? -

If we booked at inventions for our childrens birthdays would the charachters be there for dinner too?

Sorry if these questions are too obvious - first time !!! :confused3

We booked our meal for 6:15pm complete with birthday cake, I pre-booked this on the day of our arrival at our hotel (Sequoia Lodge). Was slightly worried on arriving that they may give the game away re the birthday cake but this didn't happen, just before they were due to come over with the cake someone caught my eye and I was able to point out the recipient!

We were seated upstairs by the window giving us a beautiful view over the lake (not that we spent that much time looking out!)

We had plenty of characters come visit us upstairs - Mickey, Captain Hook, Friar Tuck, Goofy, Tigger, Gepetto to name a few!

Cafe Mickey is in the Village, sitting upstairs can give you a lovely view of the lake like Diane said, otherwise it doesn't matter whether you sit up or down. It's Walts in the Disneyland park that you can sit upstairs and hopefully catch the parade from but there aren't any characters there.

Characters are at Cafe Mickey all day but I think most people agree if you book an early dinner ~ say 6pm or 6.30pm ~ it may be quieter as Europeans tend to eat later at night.

Yes, make sure you book the dinner as there are no characters at lunch, only for dinner. :)

And don't worry about asking questions, that's what we're all here for, to help each other all have the best holiday ever! :goodvibes

i love cafe micky maybe try the wood oven pizza it's great. :thumbsup2

We enjoyed it in January.. We were seated upstairs but it wasn't incredibly busy (I was worried cos we didn't have ressies but were told it was fine) Our meal was lovely, very pricey at around £50 for 2 people but we expected that.
