Cafe Mickey - worth it?

Well we went to Cafe Mickey and it was BRILLIANT!!!! Definitely the best night of our holiday.

We saw loads of characters: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Captain Hook, Smee, Rafiki, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Tigger, Eeyore. They were brillinat with us (we were worried as we were 2 adults with no children that they wouldn't want to play with us but they did!).

There was always at least one (but usually 2 or 3) characters out at a time and they were really good at spending time at each table. It was unbelievably good fun and we would definitely do it again... and again... and again!!!

Funniest bit was Goofy and Minnie throwing stuff at each other the full length of the restaurant and then Goofy stealing Mickey's bow tie - Mickey was not a happy Mouse!!

It was brilliant so thanks for all the recommendations!!

When we were there Chip and Dale sat at the empty table next to us and stole our food. They sat their pretending to eat it. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The whole restaurant was laughing.

We're planning on eating there for my Birthday too. Are lunchtimes still as good as evenings? For characters I mean.

We went at lunch time last month and it was very quiet and subdued, we didn't see anything of these antics everyone is going on about

At Christmas I def want to go back but this time in the evening, it sounds like a great laugh

I've been lunchtime - and we had great fun! Goofy kept smacking my Dad on the head, and I thought my dad was going to lay him out! On the table next to us there was a table of four children. Friar Tuck took their hands and took them over to the ice cream toppings.......picked up the entire bowl of jelly beans and poured them into the mum's handbag! Chip and Dale then decided it would be a good idea to get the rest of the bowls, and substitute the childrens food for sweets!! When the parents tried to give the food back to the kids, Dale shook his head and pretended to barf (great advert for the food LOL!), Mickey told Dale off and Pluto hid under our table......

~Also Goofy and Mickey pretended to fight! Mickey was very cross and shook his fist, which ended up with Goofy shaking hands with Mickey them hugging (though to this day I hate Goofy as he's so rough and scared me!)

We're eating here twice in November. On the 9th for our free charactor breakfast then again for lunch on 11th for Jake's (my best friend's son) 11th birthday. Yes, we'll have 11 people there

We went there last week and loved it, will be one of the 'must do' things for our next trip.

We went at 6.30 with a reservation and waited about 10 minutes, had a table upstairs and it was great. The characters started off quite quiet but got wilder as night went on, Captain Hook fed my wee boy his salmon and pretended to steal my Mother-in-Laws Jewellery. Minnie and Mickey were spraying each other with water and by the time Goofy came out my son was getting a wee bit restless so was sitting doing a jigsaw, Goofy came and did one then sat beside my wee boy and helped him do another one, he now loves Goofy!!!

A few of the characters were not so fun and involved but I suppose thats down to individual personalities behind the suits.

My son, aged 3, had been getting grumpy every night by teatime and was becoming a bit difficult when going out for meals so wasn't sure how he would be but he was great and it was one of the highlights for us.

It was also my Mother-in-Laws 70th birthday and we organised a cake for her which was great and the quality of the food was much better than I thought it would be.

Lunch time can be good because it is often quieter and you can get more time with the characters however it is also not as lively as going for dinner time.
