Hi all! I hope you don't mind that I've popped in to ask this. What is a Cadbury Dairy Chocolate Bubbly? I was at the world market today picking up some Flake bars and saw this one. Wasn't sure if I would like it or not, so I thought I would ask first.

Cheers!

It used to be whisper if you remeber them, it is a bit like an areo :goodvibes

Wideeyes is correct!!!!

I notice you are from USA so just incase you dont know what a whisper/aero bar is like..its dairy milk choc but inside is has air holes....really scrummy and melt in the mouth!! :)

I have had an aero bar. Shoot, I should have bought one!! Well, next time, I suppose.

I think they are much nicer than an aero bar....much creamier....does anyone agree?

Have you tried a Caramac bar or have you seen them??....if you can try one of those they are so yummy and my 'comfort' food :rotfl2:

I will be on the look out for a Caramac bar. Are those also made by Cadbury??

Wideeyes wasnt quite correct.....at least not if my memory serves me correctly !

It was actualy "Whispa" from what I remember....as advertised by Smith & Jones during the 80's.

Hi,
Here's a link to a chocolate bar review site:

Choc.

Apparently George Michael got choclate on his shirt because he was "careless with his Wispa".... :rotfl2:

Mick.

:smooth:

Sorry but I actually think the Cadbury Bubbly tastes nothing like the Wispa. The Wispa was like a chunky bar and the bubbles were very condensed. The bubbly chocolate has larger bubbles and is not as nice as the Wispa was (sorry but I'm very particular when it comes to chocolate ;) )

I think we were just trying to describe the bar to the nearest/similar bar we could think of!! :confused3

Caramac is made by Nestle (I think!!)

Must be an individual taste difference, but I think the bubbly tastes just like I remember Wispa tasting....
Also, I saw a press release a couple of years back where cadburys themselves said they were re-launching Wispa under a new name (Dairy Milk Bubbly). Ive tried on google, but I cant find it now.

I think that they are the same bar.. Just relaunched.
They also repackaged some chocolate such as the caramel.

Yes I remember when they relaunched it......was there an advertising campaign including TV?? (must admit I think they taste the same....as Cadburys choccy has an unique taste....totally scrummy!!! :goodvibes )

Found this article from the Daily Mirror 2004:

Wispa will be renamed Dairy Milk Bubbly to align it with the firm's top Dairy Milk label.

And Kit Kat maker Nestle is launching a curry flavour version after sales of the bar dived 9.1 per cent from £104.8million in 2002 to £95.2million last year.

It is also set to bring out a lemon cheesecake Kit Kat which is already a hit in Germany and Japan.

Only £95.2 Million!!!!

I would be disgusted in that profit if I was Mrs Nestle!!! :rotfl2:
