I've never used taxi cabs at Disney as we usually have our own car, but this next trip we might fly and be without a car. I was wondering the ins and outs of getting a cab for a family of 5 quickly and efficiently for the times I need the most. And how much would this cost. Thanks.

Most of the Taxi services that I encountered at Disney World were mini vans. With regard to the cost it depends on where you are going. The average cost for a cab is $3.85 the first quatret mile and $2.20 per mile after that. Only use authorized cab services as others could charge you something outrgeous.

You can have bell serivces call a cab for you or you can call from your room. Just make sure that you tell them that you need something to accomidate 5 people and that you need a car/booster seat if needed. Hope this helps!

In Jan 09 we needed 2 vans to accomadate our group of 13 from ASMO to Poly and we just had bell services call and take care of it for us. I think it cost us about $12 per van from ASMO to the Poly.

We used a taxi from BLT/to BWV. It was a van, and we just went to the valet desk and they whistled for a cab. The cost from CR to BWV was $23 which included tip.
