Cabins switched at boarding!

I spoke to Groups today and asked why, or if, this usually happens and was told that this could be "Port" thing but it would have nothing to do with being booked as part of a group with Dreams. I would be less than happy if I were to be changed upon checkin to a less desirable or non-connecting stateroom, too. But the first thing I would do would be to ask for a supervisor and make sure it was to my satisfaction before leaving.

Just wanted to clear this up that it was not a Dreams group thing.

Cathy our documents had the correct room number on them and it was the same as we had reserved. When we arrived at the port it had been switched. After going through several cm there at customer service and many tears from DW we finally received a midships room again. When we contacted DCL headquarters they said that we had been switched when we had been put in the group booking. They said to contact our TA when we returned and take it up with them. That was just what we were told. Mike

PS. We had a wonderful cruise otherwise with our cruisetoberfest partners and our dis moderaters that we part of our cuise. Carol Ann K and TN Robin.

boy am i glad i didn't see this post before our cruise...it would have given me one more thing to worry about (along with terrorists on july 4th etc)...

in the end all was well and we had a SPECTACULAR time....

Thank you, CathyCanada, for checking into this for those of us who have made our cruise reservations through Dreams!! I feel much better now and won't worry about it.
