Cabin Loop Questions

I'm really confused about which cabin loop to request!

I know that we'd like to be as close to the pool as possible, and I've read on the boards to request the end of the loop so
we're not too far from the bus stop.

If I request the above with loop 2500 I'm worried about being too close to the laundry.
Are the cabins that are close to the laundry noisy?
Is there a lot of people milling around because you're close to the laundry?

I'm seriously considering getting a golf cart so I suppose that means I don't really need to be close to the end of the loop?
How long does it take to drive a golf cart around one of the loops? I'm trying to get a feel for how big they are?

Also, our flight doesn't get in until 7pm....are we likely to not have our request honored because we'll be checking in
so late?

Thanks for the help (boy, do I need it)!!!!!!

Having stayed in the 2500 loop the last two years, I can answer this question. Unless you stay in the cabin right next to the laundry room, you will not hear anything at all. Even if you happen to get that cabin (2501 I think) I still think it will be fine, I do not recall hearing any noise while I walked there on both trips. On the few trips I made there, there were times where there were no people there and there were times where there were 3-4 people there chatting.

Regarding the room request(s), when I called to verify my request 3-4 days before our arrival, the cabin I requested was already assigned to me, so make sure you call and should get your request regardless of your arrival time.

I can't comment on the golf carts, I haven't rented one before, I don't think it is worth the price, but they are a great convience to have as well. I'd rather just take the bus.

We stayed in cabin 2507 just last month. This was the fourth cabin
on the right hand side as you enter the loop. We loved it. It was close
enough to the laundry for me to walk and close enough to the pool for
the kids to walk. It was also as quiet as some of the cabins we have
stayed in farther away.
I think you will like the convenience also. Have a great trip!!!:jester:

Thanks for all the input....we're getting excited already!!
Jane....I was thinking of shipping a package of essentials to the cabin before our arrival...I know the cabins do not
stock coffee filters but I don't know what type to bring. Are they cone or basket type? Do you know the size needed?
Also...is there anything else you felt lost without?
Thanks again!!!!

Hey, Crowsie!!!
When we were there last month, the coffee pot that we had was just a regular one like at home. Regular basket type, 8 cup automatic coffee makers. There is a toaster also if you like bagels or waffles. I usually take a good sharp knife, liquid dish detergent(dishwasher detergent is supplied), and the one thing that I almost always forget---SALT & PEPPER.
Most everything else is supplied. This last time, I did take one of those disposable aluminum
muffin pans(there isn't a muffin pan at the cabin). If we didn't drive I would ship all of our non-perishable items. The cold things can be picked up at the Meadow's Trading Post or a local grocery store or Walmart on the way from the airport. I hope this helps and if you think of anything else you would like to ask, just send me a private message or an email.
Have a wonderful trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh yeah, it only takes about 30-45 seconds to drive a golf cart around a loop. My kids and DH would never forgive me if I didn't reserve a cart!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;)
