I'm quite familiar with the dining options at Disneyland, but know nothing about CA (other than White Water Snacks, where I had lunch on my last visit). Is it true that the food is better in CA -- so much better that we should leave Disneyland and walk to CA for dinner? If so, what are some of your favorites? I don't want high-end like Napa Rose...just regular food for lunch/dinner in the park with a 3 year old. Thanks!

I really like eating in DCA, and I find that quite often I park-hop over to DCA from DL just to eat lunch. I enjoy Pacific Wharf for the bread bowls, Cocina Cucomunga isn't bad, I REALLY like the bbq chicken sandwich at Taste Pilots, and I haven't tried it yet, but the next place I'm going to check out is the Garden Grill.

The food at Paradise Gardens is yummy!

We've hopped to eat at TPG or Award Weiners. We like Rancho Del Zocalo in DL better than Cocina Cucamonga in DCA so if we want that type of food we eat at DL. We also very much like AG and we also like the Luckey Fortune Cookery in DCA. So yes, we've hopped for dining reason. :)

I echo every single word of this post.

We ate at the new Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta location recently and enjoyed it. The was good (we shared the Chicken Caesar Salad) and there was ample seating in the shade (with fans).

Check it out next time you are there. Of course, I still like WWC. Love the nachos (cheddar only please, no cheese sauce.;))

Really enjoyed Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta too - lots of seating, shade and fans. Oh, and the food was good too :)

The new Paradise Garden Grill in DCA was our favorite meal of the trip and the kids loved the pasta/pizza place next door. Love that new dining area too!

You can also have them put the bread on the side for the soup or salad and have them slice it. So, if you don't finish it all, you can save it for later and the bread won't be soggy.

I always do this! Basically I hate soggy bread but love to eat bread. The bread bowl loaves are pretty big so there is usually plenty to share. Speaking of sharing, you can buy a loaf of bread on the Wharf and they will slice it for you and you can get butter as well. Yummy! And just under $5.
