Welcome and congrats on singing up for the 5k and starting the program! I do better running outside too. I'm in NY, so I know what you mean...we had some brutal days. I did use a treadmill one morning when it was -5, but other than that I have braved the cold. 30 with a real feel of 11 and 22 mph winds today...DW is out there now and I am going to run later after I get the kids off to school. Unless she comes back looking like a frozen block

Welcome! I'm so glad you found us and want to join in on the getting fit and running craze! Go at your own pace and try not to worry that you are not in the shape you want to be. Everyday your body will improve and in a few months you will look back and realize how far you've come.
Is the Jeff Galloway program an app on your phone? I am using one with intervals to do his program but I'd love to find something by him. Does he only have the 5k or others? I'm on W7D3 today so I am not looking to go back to the beginning of a 5k app.
I think a few bites won't hurt! And I agree, the 5's were a little tough...it's that jump to the next level. But it's all so doable...such a great program.
WooHoo!!!!!! Congrats!! I am hoping to do it in May - I want to hear all about it when you have the chance (and the cruise too! which one did you do?). Did you buy a t-shirt?
