We would like to bring the allowed bottles of wine in our carry on bags. Does anyone know where we can get wine near or at the airport? I doubt the Disney shuttle will stop at a liquor store for us. :-)

Well, you can't get it AT the airport. Only alcohol stores are past security in the international terminal.

No, the DCL bus will not make a liquor store stop. Next best suggestion - buy some in your first port of call to bring onboard.

Assuming you're talking about Port Canaveral, Shmoo is correct that the DCL bus does not make stops from the airport. (I'd assume Miami is the same. Ditto NYC.)

Option 1: Change your flight so you are flying in the day before (this is safer anyway so there is more wiggle room in case of a cancelled or delayed flight) and get something that night before going to the ship.
Option 2: As Shmoo said, buy something in your first port of call.

IF you are boarding in Barcelona, there IS a wine shop in the terminal before you board so you could grab your allotment there before boarding. I don't know about other foreign embarkation points.

Another option is to put your wine in your luggage, not put your DCL tags on your bags, collect your luggage, move the wine to your carry on and then drop your bags off when you check in at the DCL bus deck.

You could also skip the DCL transfers and use a private car service. Some include a stop on the way to the port.

Enjoy your cruise!

I've done this and it worked well. I packed the wine in double ziplock bags and cushioned it well, then transferred it to my carry on when we arrived in Orlando. I've also rented a car, which turned out to be cheaper than the DCL transfers and allowed me to stop and pick up a couple bottles of wine.

Wine Diapers are a good product to help protect the bottles and clothing when transporting wine in checked luggage.

ABC liquor does free delivery. You could have it delivered to your hotel.
